I'm 45. Since my early 20's I have occasionally been plagued by both small acne breakouts to some pretty bad bouts of cystic acne. This is the ONLY cleanser I can use on my face to eliminate both types of acne. I use it twice daily and always follow with a moisturizer. If I have a particularly stubborn pimple, I'll use the On The Spot acne treatment and it's usually always gone the next morning. Of interest to me is that in my 20's I had very oily skin and now at 45, my skin is dry. After TWO DECADES and two different skin types, this product works!

I have very oily skin and am always trying new products to help manage the oiliness. After many years and many products, I can always rely on being able to come back to this. It doesn't require much product to remove all the oil from my face and it doesn't over dry my skin.

I have very mixed feelings about this product. It recommended washing your face with it twice a day, but I used it once a day because I was worried about drying out my skin (for good reason). At first my face felt really clean and normal. Within 5 days, my skin became really dry, especially around my cheeks. I used the Oil-Free Moisture for Combination Skin to try to fix, and it sort of worked. I would have liked this more if my blemishes went away within the two weeks I used it, but they never completely went away. Although, I never got any more, which was good. All in all, if you don't have dry and sensitive skin, this would be a good daily product. I use it once a week now to cleanse my skin, but definitely not every day.

I bought this product a couple weeks ago and after just using it a couple times, my skin started getting extremely itchy and dry like I couldn’t fall asleep at night because of how itchy my face was after washing it. It was such a waste of money and I wish I could get a refund! Worst face wash I have ever used like certain parts of face are so dry that it is painful

I used Neutrogena products for a number of years. I always include them in my skincare routine. I have oily skin. So, the oil-acne wash with salicylic acid is the perfect facial cleanser for me. My skin always feels especially clean after I wash it with this product. It does not dry my skin like other facial cleansers with salicylic acid. I also see a difference in the amount of sebum in my pores which is why it is a fixture in my skincare regimen.

This is one of the strongest oil free salicylic acid facial washes that I have ever used. If your facial skin is prone to dryness definitely you would need to use this less times during the week and also a few minutes after using it you would need to add moisturizer because it is very strong. One time I used this days and days after one another and my skin got so dry it actually started peeling for a week or so and it was so embarrassing. I didn't realize this product had dried my face out so much since I was using it so frequently. However this facial wash definitely makes it hard to get breakouts.

I had this in my shower so I was using it everyday. I have very sensitive skin and I know that Neutrogena will not affect my skin it's always good for that. I didn't feel it made much of a difference in the acne problem but I did feel that my face was clean when I was done using it there was no film left over or anything

Neutrogena oil free face wash has been used for years in my family and everytime I come to travel I use this face wash and it really make my skin feel feel smooth and clean. So before I used this product I had the grapefruit foaming cleanser. I absolutely loved it!! It made my skin really soft and clean, but also smelt amazing and pretty much cleared up my acne. So when I ran out and went to the store to get more it was gone. So I decided to buy this product because it was a good price and I saw a commercial about it. So in the the first couple of days using it, my skin felt fine. Clean and fresh. But after one week everything started going down hill!! My skin is getting so dry that its cracking and peeling and the sides of my nose, mouth, and chin. When I touch my face I can feel flakes!!!!
