My daughter and myself use for face and body ( when we run out of body the salicylic body wash). This is perfect for removing sebum in those clogged pores. If used with a gentle cloth/scrub, it will leave your skin soft and younger looking. Salicylic acid helps to turn your skin over faster, resulting in smoother, better looking skin. ( don’t skin the moisturizing step!)

My first time buying anything Neutrogena and my skin is horrible since I used it this product. My skin is red. It burns and itches. I broke out with small little bumps all over my face. Im frustrated how my skin is right now. Never again will I buy anything Neutrogena.

I purchased the Oil Free Acne Wash for my 13 year old daughter because I wanted her face to be deeply cleaned since she recently started having some minor breakouts.. She used it last night and her face started burning right away. She continued to rinse her face for a good 5 mins. She did not tell me about her experience until today. When she woke up this morning she again used the face wash, because she didn't realize it was the soap that was causing discomfort, and her face turned bright red and was burning really bad.. She sent me a text from school that her face was burning so bad she could hardly stand it....and she is NOT a complainer normally. I was worried that if she didn't wash her face (with a different product) whatever was causing burning could seriously hurt her skin so I brought her home from school so she could wash her face with Purpose. She has reported that washing her face with the Purpose has received some of her pain but it still hurts very bad and her cheeks and forehead are bright red like a bad sunburn.16 hours after using the Neutrogena soap her face is still bright red and very painful. I've used Neutrogena products for years and I am very disappointed with the product. I look to Neutrogena to gently but thoroughly clean my families skin.

It is was recommended by my physician and worked very well. It left my skin acne free without feeling oily or dried out. I would definitely recommend it to others. My teenage daughter uses it with good results as well. I found it to be not only affordable but consistent.

I love this product. When I first used it it did cause a breakout in the beginning as I have seen it in other reviews, but as soon as I started to apply Ponds facial moisturizer after washing my face with this product, the breakouts have cleared up and haven't occurred again since. You do have to apply a facial moisturizer after using this product. I will keep using this face wash and such a great deal at Sam's Club for a 2 pack. I highly recommend it.

After using this for three weeks, I notice there are both pros and cons. My skin can get incredibly oily, and I'd find myself washing my face three, sometimes four, times a day. The first couple weeks, I used it twice daily, but it dries my face so much I've cut back to nightly. I only rinse in the day, and it does an awesome job of keeping oil at bay. I've noticed my old acne scars have faded quite a bit, and acne I'd been trying to treat is greatly reduced in number and size. Overall, I'd say this product is good in terms of treating my acne prone skin. I just wish it didn't dry my face out so much, but a good moisturizer and using less often has helped combat that problem.

Neutogena Oil- Free Acne Wash has been an essential part of my daily skin routine for the last 2-3 years. Because, it has a salicylic acid (2%) which has been helping me a lot to reduce my acne and eliminates oil and unclogs pores. It has a nice and light smell. Before, I used it I had very oily skin but now much better so nowadays I use it only once a day. In my experience, it’s really beneficial for oily skin.

This cleaner is a pretty standard salicylic acid face wash. Neutrogena was the first salicylic acid cleaner I’ve tried that did it’s job and didn’t dry out my skin! Definitely worth trying, I recommend foaming it up in your hands as I felt it left my face just a tad bit cleaner.
