I am in my early 20s and still experience some acne on my face and chin. This is a great, inexpensive go -to cleanser to clean your face and get the job done. Keeps my acne under control and removes the make-up on my skin. I use it about once of twice a day, every day of the week and see results.

Neutrogena has always been my go-to face wash. It really helps keep my skin clear, and it's affordable. The scent isn't too strong. I like the clear bottle so that I can tell when I'm getting low. Just like when I was a teenager... it's still a great face wash!

Hello I have been using the Oil Free Acne wash for about a week now and at first I loved the feeling that it gave me once I used it after my showers. The next day I woke up with my face feeling way to dry, my skin felt rough and didn't feel good. I have oily skin so I was trying to find a product that would help, but this helped in the worst way, my skin is actually beginning t flake now. I am disappointed in the product. It was a waste of money because it is just sitting in my bathroom. I wish I could find something else that works for my skin without drying my face out.

I was using a prescription acne medication when I decided it was time to give salycilic acid another go, which is why I tried this acne wash out. While it keeps all of my breakouts away, I’m not sure if it is doing much for my current acne. I am seeing an increase in blackheads, and the acne I had prior to using this three weeks ago, just won’t budge. I also noticed some drying around my mouth, so I switch on and off with a gentle cleanser. My biggest concern however is that this is causing over-exfoliation. My forehead and nose are extremely shiny and they aren’t greasy. The skin looks like it’s pulled tight and just has a different texture. Because the skin is trying to repair itself, I am noticing an increase in oil production. I love Neutrogena products though, so I think I’m going to try the Grapefruit Cleanser.

Mistake number 1: I used this and woke up with a rash on my face. It usually takes time for any acne treatment to work so I kept using it. Mistake number 2: I noticed my skin was VERY VERY DRY. So I decided to use it once a day and use plenty of moisturizer. ...no results. Mistake number 3: I used a small amount and added lots of water to dilute this HARSH product. YET my skin changed from dry to very flaky, leathery, itchy, and I got clusters of pimples my cheeks. I have small zits and these pimples/cyst were new to me! The BEST decision discontinued using this product after several months of using it. My skin was so bad, I HAD to see a dermatologist to help my skin recover from the damages and acne marks of this HARSH product. My self-esteem was at all time low due to my face. I looked like I aged too. AWFUL!! 2 Cents: Just because a product is on the market and "over the counter" does not mean it is safe to use on your face. Your face is delicate. Please don't use just any product. Do you research. Better yet, see a dermatologist. It is the safest way and your doctor is accountable & reliable for your skin care. Even though it's expensive, realize that dermatologist are experts in the field of skin care and are willingly to help you get clear skin in the safest way possible. For 14 years, I've used product after product (including proactive) trying to "cure" my acne with similar over-the-counter drugs when I should have just called my doctor to help me find the best product for my skin.

I ran out of my Cetaphil cleanser. I bought some of this because a friend of mine in college swore by it. I rarely have pimples. I have some blackheads and whiteheads though. The first few days were OK. I have sensitive skin and I now have itchy red dry patches all over my face. It feels like sandpaper. My skin was not like this before. I have put tons of expensive creams on my face and nothing is helping.

I love Neutrogena, but even with this brand it was hard for me to find something for my breakouts. Finally, I did! I love this face wash with my whole heart and not going to exchange it for anything else. My skin feels super clean, not oily for the whole day, breakouts noticeably reduced. Totally recommend!

I am absolutely in love with this product. Before this product I used many other gentle cleansers, but none of them seemed to help my acne. This cleanser makes my skin feel very clean, while helping get rid of my acne. I have mild acne, but whenever I get one my whole face breaks out. This does not dry out my skin in any way. My skin is left feeling extremely soft and refreshed. I highly recommend for people who have problem break outs. Especially for teens! Awesome product, I saw results within the first use of this product. I'm definitely repurchasing!

If your face is currently broke out from the time of the month where you have the sporadic bumps, this is what you need to clean your face. I always use this when my face has its special moments of breakouts to get it back to normal again. It’s doesn’t dry out my face and usually clears up within a few days.

This Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash with Salicylic Acid is a great over the counter purchase. It is strong enough to wash off the dirtiest faces but also gentle enough to be used by sensitive skin. Great way to clean your face without spending too much.
