I am a novice to the skincare world, but I became interested in having an actual skincare routine about 6 months ago. The reason that this product is a 2 is that it doesn't do what is advertised, which was help with acne. If it was just supposed to be a cleanser to get rid of sunscreen, minimal makeup, or wash a face in general, I would use it in a double-cleansing routine. In this case, it would be a 4 for me but, that is not the case. To start out, I was looking at inexpensive products because duh. I am a college student and was trying to save some money while still trying to keep my skin clear. On the aspect of cost, this product is it. I have been using this product for about six months now and I can safely say it does a good job at cleaning the skin and making it feel fresh after a good wash. I do remember when initially using it, my skin was dry after washing. This was easily fixed with a good moisturizer. (I was using the Cetaphil face moisturizer) This dryness goes away if you are consistent but it does have 2% salicylic acid so I would say some initial dryness is normal. I am currently finishing my bottle and will not purchase again because I am looking for something to actually clear up my acne or prevent it. I recently began to get minimal acne around my jawline closer to the chin and although I don't think it was this product (probably just hormones/stress) I know this product is not working for my skin because it stays the same. I would say that if you have very very minimal acne, as the occasional pimple or two, that this product is great for you but if it is higher up on the scale of acne it probably won't clear up the skin. If you still feel compelled to try it because you are also trying out the product, I would say go for it because the price is great. Again, it is a good face wash in general but not for what it advertises. Additional info: - The pump of the bottle is great and although it is not a foaming face wash, it does feel nice of the skin (needs water to feel smooth) - The size of the bottle is also good for the price - This product has a more natural smell but after washing and rinsing, it goes away. I don't think it smells bad but if you don't like the more natural smelling product and prefer fragranced cleansers, then maybe this product is not ideal. (I think the smell is fine and minimal but maybe people who are extremely sensitive to any smells and also prefer absolutely no smell won't like this product)

Initially I was amazed by the results I received from the first use. My skin looked visibly brighter and clearer. However, after the third wash I begin to notice dry patches sprouting on my face. I use moisturizer everyday but its not enough to quench the thirst this product leave skin in. :(

I bought this Wednesday afternoon I used it that night the next two days my neck started itching and the next day my face was sensitive when I removed my make up, I washed my face with it Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning with eyes swollen and face red, burning, and very sensitive to the touch!

I had so many pimples when I was in middle school. I literally had to beg to get this cleanser, at first I used Noxcema and it did not do anything when it came to clearing up my skin. This works wonders tho, a lot of people said it's drying but I always follow up with a moisturizer when I use this. It's been years and this is still the only cleanser I use, though I switched to the Walmart brand because it's cheaper. My skin is way way wayyy better than it ever was and it's improving by the day :D

I have been using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and I love it. My face feel so clean and it help my acne. This is first time trying this. It doesn't dry my skin out and I really like that about the product. Yes I would buy this again. I would recommend you try it.

I really like this cleanser from Neutrogena! It's very effective for whenever I have pimples, blackheads, etc. Not to mention the price is very affordable and you could get it at most drugstores. It's ingredients are perfect for sensitive skin, as it contains aloe. It has a very fresh, clean scent!

I bought this product a week and a couple days ago. If you have dry skin DO NOT by this product. It will dry out your skin that’s if you try to put moisturizer on it won’t help. If you have REALLY oily skin then I would recommend this for you. If you have a combination definitely no. The bottle said to Usenet it 1-2 times a day but I only do it incense because of how badly it dries out my skin. neutrogena has a lot of very good care products that are amazing and definitely worth it but this product was a big no for me.

I love Neutrogena products but unfortunately, this one doesn’t fall on my must have list. I recently had surgery on my face and was looking for a gentle liquid cleanser, as I was worried my normal benzoyl peroxide based cleaner would be too harsh. After 3 days of use, my skin is red and itchy and has a rash over my cheeks and chin. Hoping that after stopping use my skin will resolve issues on own. Sticking with what I know works for the future.

I got this product a week ago, its horrible. after 2 days, my skin got so dry. it didnt even feel like skin. i used it again today. & now i have so much bumps all over my skin. it doesnt help your pimples at all! i dont know why people are saying it works, it doesnt.
