I’ve been using the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash for a while now, and it has truly made a difference in my skin! Now I live neutrogena products however this one was not one of them. From its horrible scent to the irritation and dryness it cas used my skin. It wasn’t for me. However my wife loves it and it does wonders on her. Like lost products some work for others. She says it leaves her feeling soft. I rated it low based on my experience but I wouldn’t tell anyone not to try it as neutrogena has great products.

It's a great product. Althought it has slow results when it comes to removing acne, it does help greatly with oily skin. It makes my skin dry but there's nothing that a little moisturizer can't do! I have extremely oily skin and I'm happy that it dries it up. The smell isn't overpowering but it still smells good and very refreshing, especially in the morning.

You can not use just one product and expect results. Truth is our skin need the scrub, the wash and the lotion. I use the scrub once every other day followed up with the lighter feeling acne stress lotion. Second wash in the early evening, not at night before bed, I use this wash followed up with the stress lotion. If your skin is breaking out or drying, you need to add that scrub and always follow up with the stress lotion or their rapid clear acne lotions that leave skin soft. Stay away from toners, period. These products are the best I'll found, you just need to figure out the right system for you in terms of how often to scrub and its not everyday. I can just use water and my face dries out, becomes sore and breaks out like there is no tomorrow until I scrub and don't try to scrub your face off.

I've been using this product for a few weeks now and I'm upset. It's been working so well at first. I have bad acne on my chin area and nose area it began to clear within days. All of a sudden I noticed the more I used it the less it worked. My skin is very peeley and I just don't know what to do. The moisturizers I have only help for about 2 hours or so. Any suggestions?

So this was my first time buying their face wash, I've used other stuff before but nothing quite like this. I have a recurring acne problem and I thought this would help me when all else failed. Well, I was wrong. The first time I used it, my skin felt squeaky clean and tight and I thought to myself: "This might just work." However, within two days, my skin turned into a COMPLETE MESS. I broke out around the mouth, chin and jaw and I NEVER break out so close to my lips. My skin peeled off, especially around my nose, eyes and temples. My eyes can barely open from how tight the skin is. And this is with just 4 WASHES. My skin has never felt this bad, not even from tret or any other acne meds. I am in pain, discomfort and even more self-conscious than before. Even moisturizer and vaseline won't work. I don't know what to do now. Thanks, Neutrogena. I am never buying again.

I bought this product and used it for only 2 1/2 days. I woke up one morning and my face felt like it was on fire!! It was hot, red, and burned!! Even made my eyes red and burn. ( I never got the product in my eyes) Also it dried out my face so bad that I have to use lotion multiple times a day! Which I am sure has clogged my pores worse then when I started using this product!! Now I am stuck with almost a full bottle of wash and I can't do anything with it.

This cleanser is VERY strong, so strong in fact it will remove the top layer of your skin. I’m not even kidding. A week has gone by and I am STILL suffering with the chemical burns and very dry skin. The skin around my eyes was so badly damaged it looked like I had two black eyes! And this lasted for about 4 days! >:/ my skin is very red and very sore, I can’t moisturise, I can’t even wear makeup to hide this mess because anything I put on my face absolutely BURNS!! I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I thought I'd use this product because I've been having quite bad skin problems recently so I tried it and at first, I thought it was okay! I've used it once. The consistency is like jelly and it lathers up nicely but it dried my skin out SO. BAD. My skin is very oily but it just dried it out completely. It's really irritated the area around my mouth, like on my chin and everything. I've been having really super itchy skin for about 2 days now and it will not go away! Please don't risk using this product, you'll regret it.
