I used a product that made me to break out all over my face, Istarted using the oil-free acne wash followed by the rapid clear pads and lastly the 2 in 1 fight and fade toner two times a day and within ten days all the breakouts have gone and I only have the dark spots now which I know will fade with time.

I started using this product after I kept having breakouts. I use this product every single day, either once or twice. It started working well about a week after I started using it. My acne is almost completely gone and it actually made my blackheads look smaller! I really love this product and I will keep using it!

I've never had a problem with acne before, rarely even had a pimple until this summer. 20 years old and all of a sudden developed acne. Worst thing ever! I never even wanna leave my house and I hate all the make up I have to pile on every day. Anyway my moms always trusted neutrogena so have I, so I found this product did some research and apparently it was really good. Well not for me. I've used it for months now and it makes my skin horribly dry even tho I moisturize like crazy and has not helped with my acne AT ALL maybe even makes it worse. Not a good product for my skin what so ever I'm sadden over this it's just too bad! Not happy!!!!!

With more facial products, more sweat, and, more oil produced from the summer heat, this face wash is my go to in the summer to stay on top and prevent and treat acne breakouts. It removes my makeup but also the oil and debris and prevent future breakouts with the salicylic acid.

I purchased the Oil Free Acne Wash for my 13 year old daughter because I wanted her face to be deeply cleaned since she recently started having some minor breakouts.. She used it last night and her face started burning right away. She continued to rinse her face for a good 5 mins. She did not tell me about her experience until today. When she woke up this morning she again used the face wash, because she didn't realize it was the soap that was causing discomfort, and her face turned bright red and was burning really bad.. She sent me a text from school that her face was burning so bad she could hardly stand it....and she is NOT a complainer normally. I was worried that if she didn't wash her face (with a different product) whatever was causing burning could seriously hurt her skin so I brought her home from school so she could wash her face with Purpose. She has reported that washing her face with the Purpose has received some of her pain but it still hurts very bad and her cheeks and forehead are bright red like a bad sunburn.16 hours after using the Neutrogena soap her face is still bright red and very painful. I've used Neutrogena products for years and I am very disappointed with the product. I look to Neutrogena to gently but thoroughly clean my families skin.

I purchased this product 2 days ago and I used it one day and it was irritated itchy and burning, the next day I continued to use it and woke up the next with a swollen face severely itchy!!! I do not recommend this for anyone!! Btw my skin is not sensitive like so this has never happened to me and as far as I know I’m not allergic to anything.

This product isn't all new and fancy. It's the original, basic acne wash that works. And I really like that. I actually do like the smell a lot and the product in general. I alternate my face washes but when I just want the job done, I use this because it works. I use it a lot more than my other products and yet I still have tons of it left! I don't have anything else to say besides get it. It just works.

I decided to try this because it was recommend as comparable to the too-expensive face soap I normally use. I found it difficult to get a lather and I didn't have that "clean" feeling, like there was residue. I continued to use it, twice daily per the directions, but by the third day my skin was itchy, dry, and flaky around the nose and cheeks (which is usually where I'm the oiliest). While my guess is that I cleans alright, I definitely would not recommend it for daily use unless you have VERY oily skin.
