I used it for the first time just under a week ago, and the skin on my face hasn't been the same since. I have other neutrogena products that I've used for months and I've never reacted to any of them before. It has gone down a lot in the last couple days, but when I used it my face dried out far too much and nothing I tried would fix it. My face also became red, extremely itchy, tight, and I actually have more acne than I did before. I don't know if this is a common thing that happens when you first use it or not, but this is what happened to me.The price was great and I'm sure it works for many other people! See if it works for you, I'm not going to tell you not to use it because it didn't work for me.

I bought this product a few days ago, the first two or three days were fine. My skin felt amazing and well cleansed. After the third or fourth day, my skin became very dry around my mouth area (under nose and chin). I began having tiny whiteheads around my mouth area as well. I’ve moisturized twice and my mouth area is still very dry. Not to mention, my whole face is dry as well but my mouth area is the worst. I have oily skin so I thought this product would be perfect for me. I do not recommend this product at all. This product has made my skin worse.

I'm 45. Since my early 20's I have occasionally been plagued by both small acne breakouts to some pretty bad bouts of cystic acne. This is the ONLY cleanser I can use on my face to eliminate both types of acne. I use it twice daily and always follow with a moisturizer. If I have a particularly stubborn pimple, I'll use the On The Spot acne treatment and it's usually always gone the next morning. Of interest to me is that in my 20's I had very oily skin and now at 45, my skin is dry. After TWO DECADES and two different skin types, this product works!

My skin had some acne which comes around every summer, so I used this face wash to get rid of it. The worse decision I made! I read the reviews prior to buying it and despite reading about the drying out I thought my skin would be different. It was not! All that happened was that now instead of having just acne, my skin is dry and is losing its glow. I have gorgeous brown skin and now it looks uneven and dry. Do not buy this product until they take all those drying agents out!

I rarely ever leave reviews but this product is horrible! I decided to switch face washes to try and help with oil and acne and this is the WORST face wash I have ever used! My skin is so dry and my face is literally burning! This is only my second time trying it! I wouldn't recommend this for my worst energy!

I’ve been using this product recommended by my dermatologist for years and it’s extremely effective at keeping my breakouts at bay. The scent is on the medicinal side but that doesn’t bother me. The salicylic acid and other ingredients are effective and not overly drying.

Love this product! So many beauty/health products out there for facial cleansing leave your skin feeling dried out, or with a greasy sticky residue. When I washed my face in the morning with this, my skin felt clean and moisturized without any after yuckiness that you get with cheaper brands. I have been looking for a skin cleanser for years that works suit my needs but haven't been lucky before. All my life I have had acne proned, oily and dry skin. After that first time experimenting with a new product, it made me a believer in the Neutrogena brand for life. I believe that Neutrogena is a wonderful company and definitely worth the extra money they charge for their products. What I also really like about Neutrogena is their packaging and advertising are simple yet elegant, classy yet modern for all ages and races and sex. They have been around for as long as I can remember and I believe they hold the market on sustainability with consumers.
