This product should be discontinued. After one gentle wash my skin feels tight as if I am recovering from a burn/scar. The skin is bumpy and scaly to touch and my eye/lip areas are swollen. The bottle doesn't even say that this is a strong wash which it definitely should. Will not by any Neutrogena products after this. Also there is a lot of similar reviews about this issue which Neutrogena should care more about.

I bought this 2 days ago and used it twice. After the first use my face felt a little dry but nothing bad, but I used it before I went to bed and woke up with my face swollen and dry. This was especially bad at my eyes, they are now so dark and swollen and dry that I look 20 years older. Even with that my skin burns and itches. I have no clue what to do next but I will not use this product again.

I bought this product a week and a couple days ago. If you have dry skin DO NOT by this product. It will dry out your skin that’s if you try to put moisturizer on it won’t help. If you have REALLY oily skin then I would recommend this for you. If you have a combination definitely no. The bottle said to Usenet it 1-2 times a day but I only do it incense because of how badly it dries out my skin. neutrogena has a lot of very good care products that are amazing and definitely worth it but this product was a big no for me.

This product is definitely well within average. I have had it for about 2 months and been using it to help with acne and blackheads. It.. it helps but not the results I was really looking for. I still am going to use it everyday until I get another one because without it I know I will have more breakouts. I know there is a Neutrogena product that can have a better result and until I find one, this one will KIND OF help me regulate my acne.

NEVER PURCHASE THIS EVER. Neutrogena you have let me down. Never will purchase again. This product gave me the worst allergy reaction. Im a very healthy person who doesnt even have any allergies. This product dried out my skin. Gave me red rash all over my face and i have a thousand small pimple. I cant even get out of the house because its covered all over my face. ID GIVE THIS PRODUCT 0/10 IF I COULD.

I have always used the Facial Cleansing *Bar* for Acne-Prone Skin because it is great for total body - and that is what my mother always had for use in the shower growing up. However, more recently, my husband and I have used Salicylic Acid Oil-Free Acne Wash - and we love it!! We have a pump dispenser in the shower, on the bathroom sink and in the guest bath. I guess you could say it is our bathroom staple!

What I've experienced with this is that, it doesn't do much with my skin. I put it on twice in the bath, come out with dry skin but thats about it. No pimples removed, and it seems to consistently not work for my pimples at all. I don't understand, Neutrogena is selling a product thats supposed to clear up my pimples but it seems to be doing less than nothing. After a while my pimples pop due to rubbing a towel against my face, or they get really big and don't go away until after weeks, supposedly how long it takes a normal pimple to go away. Thus i don't understand why you're selling us a product that basically does nothing except dry my skin.

I have very oily skin and over the years I have had issues with acne. I have tried so many products and none have seemed to work. My friend recommended this product to me after she visited a dermatologist. I LOVE this product! I still have occasional breakouts, but nothing like before. My mom, cousin, aunt, and grandmother all now use this face wash. It's a must!

I 1st came in contact with this product at a friend's house because I left my facial wash at home.I woke up after a night of partying and used it.The next day I went home and I begin to breakout my face looked horrible, I got multiple bumps on my forehead and neck it was so depressing! I never linked my reaction to the product because I though I ate or drank something that made my face react in such a way but unknowingly to me it was Neutrogena oild-free acne wash! A few days ago my mom bought the product we both used it, at 1st we were fine but the 2nd day my mom woke up with swollen eyes her face looked like someone punched her. She ended up going to the hospital and the doctor told her stop using the facial wash. A few days later my face begin burning and itching then bumps begin to appear,it looked a lot like what happened to me the day I came home from using my friend's facial wash. Then I linked the both incidents together. Now my face feels bumpy,rough, itchy and discolored ! Everyone is diffrent but it's just weird that both my mom and myself had such a extreme reaction. With that being said I WOULD NOT ADVICE ANYONE TO USE OR BUY THE THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT!! You will regret it

My son's doctor recommended this for his face when he was 12. He hadn't been interested in caring for his skin properly until now, at age 13 1/2. He's had a couple of breakouts and he doesn't like them one bit. This cleanser is helping so much. Even his forehead skin is nearly clear. Having had acne myself since 1978 or so, I know that, for me, finding the right facial cleanser is 90% of the battle against breakouts. I don't recall that any salicylic acid cleansers were around when I was a teenager, but Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar for Acne was helpful along with liquid astringents and benzoyl peroxide treatment. "Today's" Neutrogena acne cleansers are like a 3-in-1, compared to what I needed in those days, because they work like cleansers and toners, plus they exfoliate. My son does occasionally need Neutrogena spot treatment, but this cleanser keeps breakouts at bay so well, it's rare that he needs anything more. Also, since using this cleanser, he never has more than 2 or 3 blemishes at once, and I believe this cleanser stops the breakouts before they can erupt. I use Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash myself, and all I can say is I wish it had been around when I was a teenager! My skin has never been better.
