I moved to a hot and humid part of the world and began suffering from random breakouts along my chinline. I tried a few expensive products from department stores but didn't get any results. Last resort... Picked up neutrogena acne wash at the supermarket and its worked wonders for me. Skin cleared up after 5 days. Haven't had another build up of spots for over 2 weeks. Some very small pimples still dotted about but it's a major improvement and it isn't sore. Just remember to moisturise after you use it.

This was the first Neutrogena product I tried. It is effective and gentle on acne prone skin. I’m not a fan of the scent, so I personally wouldn’t purchase it again, hence the 3 stars. I prefer Neutrogena’s grapefruit scent. But I know people who like this scent, so it’s personal preference.

i have been using this product for over a month and i have noticed significant changes in the oiliness and redness. This product worked fast and effectively. I was very impressed with the speed of how quickly this product worked. I was only using it as a night wash and every morning woke up with a clear and with a much smoother face. Also I noticed that it calms the skin decreasing the amount of redness throughout. I 100% approve this cleanser .

I suffered from papule and pustule acne for so long, not to mention oily skin but this face wash took care of all of that! I did suffer from redness in the beginning but my skin was getting used to the product! I love this face wash and the smell is addicting! My skin can get dry but after using my moisturizer everything is A okay! I love this wash so much and will continue to use this face wash happily!

I have been using this product for years and years!!! It never disappoints and always keeps my face free of acne and breakouts. I dont get that tight feeling that i do with other face washes. It hasnt changed after all these years which is rare. This is an all around great product that i highly recommend for anybody to use!!

It dries out the skin *really* bad. However, as soon as I wash my face off, I immediately apply an oil-free moisturizer. At first, it makes your pimples & such more red & noticeable, but this usually goes down within the next hour for me. By using this twice a day my blemishes usually go down the next day or so, so generally about 4-8 washes before a blemish isn't red anymore or noticeable. Sometimes, if the pimple's head is hard & you let your skin dry off a bit, if you pick off the head & wash your face again this also helps lower the zit/pimple/whatever. This is the 1st product I ever tried for my acne, and it's been keeping any facial blemishes I get under control.

I didn't like this product. It did nothing to sooth my acne nor get rid of it. But I do admit that I have PCOS which causes constant blemishes around my mouth and chin areas. The cleanser has a bad smell to it, the fragrance (if any?) is not the best, it's certainly not clean smelling. It's a rather inexpensive cleanser but I'd rather pay more money for something that will work better.

I have used this product in the past. However, the ingredients ended up concerning me so I switched to something else. The concentration of salicylic acid is so high that it can cause irritation. Also, since it’s in a cleanser it is less effective since it’s washed off before it can really sink into the skin.

There's a reason why this product has been around for decades!! This tried and true face wash was with me through the years of super acne teen skin covered in powdery cakey makeup in highschool, through extra long nights filled with dancing, sweat and tons of night club partying in college, through years of heartbreak while dating, was there to wash off my wedding day makeup, was there after being covered in baby drool from smooches from my babies.. this product has been with me through all of life and it still remains the best face wash and acne fighter!

This product completely ruined my face and i thought it couldn't get any worse. My face got more dry the more i used it; but it did remove some of the acne. It also damaged the skin around my nose and my mouth; because of that i couldn't eat for two days because of the that it had caused me. Just to see some result i had to use it three times a day, but when i used it twice daily. I saw no result.
