Gentle effective cleanser best for people with blackheads and acne prevention. Not for active breakouts unless you're oily too. I did find it to bit a tad drying. Really great price though. The active ingredient is 2% salicylic acid so don't get ripped off buying something more expensive. Pump bottle is convenient but I wish it had a different smell. Nothing offensive, just a hazard of an unscented product. I buy this fairly often when I'm not using a different type of cleanser altogether.

bought this to clear up my skin, woke up the next morning and my face was swollen, blotchy and extremely sore. Now currently on anti-inflammatory medication to sort it out. I would never recommend this product to anyone, I am so disappointment in this and i just hope my face swelling and the soreness goes down in the next day or so. DO NOT BUY IF SENSITIVE SKIN.

I bought this today and I was so excited to use it, because my chin, nose, and forhead were covered in blackheads and pimples ... So I get home I wash my face how the directions on the back of the bottle say and 5-10 minutes after I wash my face I notice a gigantic dry patch on my cheek, from one wash and personally I'm scared what would happen if I kept using it honestly I don't think people should be using this, DO NOT BUY THIS PROUDUCT.

This face wash is like a no-nonsense, get-the-job-done kind of friend. One wash, and it feels like it’s telling my acne, “Pack your bags, you’re not welcome here.” It lathers up nicely, leaves my skin feeling clean (but not squeaky dry), and actually helps keep breakouts in check. The salicylic acid does its thing without being too harsh, which is a win for my sometimes-moody skin. Plus, no oily residue—just fresh, happy skin. If my acne had a villain origin story, this wash would be the hero shutting it down.

I love this product. When I first used it it did cause a breakout in the beginning as I have seen it in other reviews, but as soon as I started to apply Ponds facial moisturizer after washing my face with this product, the breakouts have cleared up and haven't occurred again since. You do have to apply a facial moisturizer after using this product. I will keep using this face wash and such a great deal at Sam's Club for a 2 pack. I highly recommend it.

The Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with Salicylic Acid is a reliable and effective face wash for acne-prone skin. It cleanses the skin deeply and helps to reduce breakouts. The only downside is that it can be a bit drying, so I recommend using a moisturizer afterwards. 4/5 stars

This literally burned my skin. It irritated my skin so badly I had patches all over and my skin started to peel and just looked awful. I have seen where it has worked for others but that was not the case for me. Apart from that it has a nice fresh scent and the packaging is great.

First off I want to say I rarely have problems testing different products, I have combination skin and it's pretty tough. I purchased this product to try something different. I don't suffer from acne but I get the occasional spot on my face and I wanted to see if this was effective in clearing up those every now and then blemishes. The first time I used it, it was before bed, I wasn't able to sleep because my face was extremely itchy. My chin area, my cheeks. It was excruciatingly painful. I woke up in the morning with red dry skin. That was only after my first time using it. The second time it was 10x more unbearable. My whole forehead has broken out in tiny bumps (which was totally clear before me using it) and has increased the amount of blemishes on my face. I do not recommend this and am returning this product immediately. Do not waste your money and don't let the #1 Dermatologist Recommended on the bottle fool you.

As someone who always tried using expensive skincare because I thought it made a difference, I was so wrong. I’ve been dealing with acne that I couldn’t get rid of for months, and I am not acne prone. But this has been gentle and really improving my skin!

Great gentle cleanser, helps clean the skin and remove excess oils at the end of the day. Has a light clean scent that isn't overwhelming, left my skin feeling light and soft. No residue or sticky feeling after using this, I recommend it if you're just needing a decent facial cleanser.
