I bought this product a little over a week ago because I could not find my original face wash. After my first few washes, I loved this product because my skin felt so clean but noticed my face began to feel dryer and dryer no matter how much facial lotion I applied. It’s weird because the only places that got dry were where I get the most oil buildup (nose and chin). I finally had to ditch this face wash after the sides of my nose began to flake very bad and burn like crazy. I still gave 3 stars because I believe this would work for someone who may have very oily skin rather than combo skin like mine. Overall it did a great job of cleansing but how much it dried me out knocked a few stars off this rating.

I used this face wash for years, and it always seemed to work for me. I would still have habitual breakouts, but that was more related to outside factors than the wash itself. I would buy this wash again if I was in a pinch, and needed something asap

So many people have experienced itching, redness, soreness, dryness, burning sensations and even flaking/peeling skin why is this product still being sold?! I don't know what ingredient causes this but I had extremely itchy skin and a rash all over my face which took ages to go. Very disappointed with this product and Neutrogena. Will never buy it again and am throwing it in the bin. Obviously some people have found it helps but with so many people experiencing reactions like this I do not think this product should be continued to be sold, or at least change how you market it- do not label it as a product that "gently cleanses"; it is not a gentle product and is in fact very harsh on the skin and contains a strong acid. I was shocked to see it "contains special skin soothers [to] prevent irritation and overdrying" as many many of the reviews I have read state this is exactly what the product does NOT do and in fact I found the product causes both skin irritations and overdrynes. Do not buy if you have sensitive skin- I don't even have very sensitive skin and yet this product still caused me a lot of itching and a rash.

Ok.. so this product is okay for acne but the only down part about it is that it leaves the face a bit ted after every use. Im not sure why but it goes away after 15mins or so. It works great but just the fact that leaves you with a red face its concerning!

After I wash my face with Neutrogena acne wash my face gets really dry. Normally it takes about 7 hours to become normal again without moisturizer, and I wash my face 2 times a day so when I get to school my face is all dried up. Although it does keep your face clear all day, but that's only if u was your face twice a day so if not you will most likely break out.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash works great for my oily skin, it really helps keep it under control. I love the packaging because it clearly, It has salicylic acid as an ingredient, which helps exfoliate, control excess oil and reduce inflammation, and it has a good texture. The salicylic acid formula cleans deeply without leaving my skin feeling tight

Within 30 minutes of using this product, even after moisturizer, my face was extremely dry, burning, sensitive, and my skin was flaking off. For a week after, I had to apply a moisturizing mask and lemon balm daily. Please never buy this product, I have seen great reviews for it but it is not worth the risk of this pain. If you have sensitive skin, use Cetaphil. It works painlessly and never burns the face. Neutrogena has responded to reviews of this product, so they are aware that this burns many people, but instead of taking action all they do is leave a useless customer service line. Guess they are still making too much money off of this product to consider pulling it, at the expense of burning peoples skin.

I've recently broke out a little on my cheeks so I thought I would try this product because of all of the good reviews. The first morning after washing my face i noticed my skin was less red but my jawline was extremely dried out. I thought maybe i didn't rinse it off well enough or something so I tried it for a second time and it dried my face out so bad i could barely smile and it burned my face! My acne actually got so much worse. It caused me to have a break out of white heads. This is not for sensitive combination skin.

This Acne wash was recommended by my doctor so I tried it and i immediately started peeling on the sides of my mouth and around my nose/upper lip and I can’t make the feeling go away. The good part is that my face used to be extremely oily and now it’s normal except for the spots I had just mentioned. Other than that I have definitely seen improvements.

I've been using this product for four days and my face is so dry it burns so bad. I'm constantly applying lotion on my face. I purchase this and a neutrogena toner, at first I thought it was the toner so after two days I stopped using it. But when I apply the cleanser my face burns and after rinsing it. I wish I could get my money back.
