I recently tried the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with Salicylic Acid, hoping it would help with my occasional breakouts. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. While the product is marketed as a gentle acne solution, I found it to be quite drying on my skin. After using it for a week, my face felt tight and somewhat irritated. The formula does have salicylic acid, which is a well-known acne-fighting ingredient. However, it seemed to strip my skin of its natural oils rather than just targeting the acne. I also experienced some redness and flakiness around my nose and chin area. On a more positive note, the cleanser has a pleasant scent and lathers well, making it easy to apply and rinse off. It might work better for those with very oily skin, but if you have combination or sensitive skin, you may want to be cautious. In summary, while the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash could work for others, it didn't suit my skin type. There might be better options available for those with sensitive or dry skin.

I love this as a daily wash during my period and my hormones are going crazy. It helps keep the blemishes away and is gentle enough for daily use. I haven't used it everyday since I don't usually get blemishes while not on or before my period, but I don't see why not. I have combo skin but mostly oily and it works wonders!

I like this product a lot for cleaning the face of my children and mine, it leaves the face clean and helps us control acne. its presentation makes its use easy and allows the product not to be wasted, it has a soft and pleasant smell, it is not aggressive with the skin.

Wow, I have been buying expensive cleansers for acne and this one actually works even better. The only downfall is that it can be a little drying, but for me it took about 1 month of use until I noticed. Also bear in mind that I use a salicylic toner and spot treat with benzoyl peroxide. My skin is pretty oily and needs a stronger regimen. If you have young skin like in your teens just use once a day, make sure you spend about 1 full minute cleansing. Studies suggest most people only cleanse for 10 seconds...then rinse rinse rinse! I worry that some people with the reactions might not be rinsing enough and that with dry you out and irritate!! Anywho, I love this cleanser, A++++++++

I used a product that made me to break out all over my face, Istarted using the oil-free acne wash followed by the rapid clear pads and lastly the 2 in 1 fight and fade toner two times a day and within ten days all the breakouts have gone and I only have the dark spots now which I know will fade with time.

I love the product. I'm sensitive to everything and I finally found a face wash for my very sensitive skin. It is a very strong face wash so you will need a ton of moisture. Your skin will dry and peel if you don't use it. Overall, it's Good cleanser, it'll wash away all your remaining makeup, leaves your face super squeaky clean!

This face wash did not harm or dry my skin or make my acne flare up more, but it also didn't really clear up my acne. It was more of just a normal face wash for me. However, it did take off my mascara which I liked. Everyone's skin is different, so make sure to consider how this will be on your specific skin type

This was one of the first products I have ever used from Neutrogena and I wish I had a better experience with it. Using this product left my skin feeling extremely irritated, dry, and flaky, which is quite the red flag being that I have oily skin. I am normally not very sensitive to fragrance but this product does not agree with my skin and I have a strong feeling that the high concentration of fragrance (see ingredient list, fragrance should be more towards last which would mean a lower concentration but its all the way up to the middle.)

I used this product twice, and it dried out my face soooo badly that I couldn't even move my mouth!! My face turned red and flaky, and it looked like I was growing scales. At first, I thought this reaction was from my acne cream, but after reading these reviews, I realized it must've been this wash's fault. I doubt I'll ever use this junk again. PLEASE ,please, Neutrogena, make a gentler, more effective wash, so others don't have to experience the horrible side effects.
