I will never buy this product again! From the first time I tried it my skin got super dried out. I have combination skin (mostly oily) and this face wash made my skin so tight. Would not recommend especially if you already have dry skin as this will make it even more dry.

I've recently broke out a little on my cheeks so I thought I would try this product because of all of the good reviews. The first morning after washing my face i noticed my skin was less red but my jawline was extremely dried out. I thought maybe i didn't rinse it off well enough or something so I tried it for a second time and it dried my face out so bad i could barely smile and it burned my face! My acne actually got so much worse. It caused me to have a break out of white heads. This is not for sensitive combination skin.

This is a must have in my skin care routine. For anyone struggling with the things I described above, I wholeheartedly recommend this, as it's price efficient and extremely effective at avoiding a pimple before it comes in as well which is a bonus. When I see a tiny red pimple coming in and use this within an hour or two it's a miniscule barely noticeable whitehead. -Side note, I have oily and acne prone skin.

I used this product years ago (probably about 5) and it worked so well on my skin, so this time around I figured I'd get the same result, right? WRONG. After 1 USE, my skin is dry, flaking, red, bumpy, itchy, and just plain gross. No amount of moisturizer will fix it, and my makeup won't cover it (I'm a makeup artist, so I have some pretty high end full coverage makeup, and even that won't do it). I gave in and went to see a doctor on the second day because my skin HURT SO BADLY, and I had to be prescribed medication to restore my skin back to how it was before.

I want to know if the product is supposed to increase acné in the first few days because it actually takes away oil from the skin for a long period which is great, but i did noticed that my acné has increased this days, is it part of the cleaning process? Thank you. LAURA.

This is a hard product to review.. I noticed all summer my skin has been breaking out in acne for the first time ever. When googling for inexpensive solutions, this was recommended. I bought it from my local drugstore and within literally three days of using it, my acne was completely gone! So that's where the good part of my review comes from. I also stopped using it after then, I'll explain why, and the acne never came back. So after using it for three days, my skin just starts PEELING. Like it's completely dry and white flakey. In my opinion, it's better than having visible red acne and oily skin but still unfortunate.

Needed a slightly abrasive scrub to get makeup off with this product. There are a couple in their line I prefer more. This would be what I would get my teenage daughter (if I had one) to start testing the waters of skin care. Good introductory product.

i’ve used so many of these. nothing ever works for my acne but this is one of the few that i feel is extremely effective, i love salicylic acid too it’s great. doesn’t smell like anything, packaging is efficient. only thing is, it’s pretty expensive for something that i would use up in like 3 weeks

I have oily, highly acne-prone, sensitive and uneven skin-toned skin. I've been using the Neutrogena oil free acne wash for 3 weeks now and before this I was using a prescribed cleanser that I can't get where I now live.. So I'd been trying out a few off-the-shelf cleansers to no avail and breaking out every time I used them. But I think now I have finally found my constant! I can confidently say that Neutrogena acne wash is the only one I have tried that's helping clear my acne, doesn't break me out, keeps my skin shine-free and is progressively helping reduce the appearance of my acne scars. Also, a little goes a long way. Literally, magic in a bottle. Please don't ever change or discontinue this formula!
