I have used this product for years (exactly 5yrs) and i absolutely love it! it leaves my skin extremely soft and blemish free. i barely ever breakout and it works great to wash your makeup of. i would really recommend this to someone with oily skin not dry because it is a oil free wash so it might dry your skin even more if you already have dry skin.

I used this twice and it completely dried out my skin. So bad that I couldn't even put make-up on. My skin literally felt like sandpaper! I went and bought some cera be for dry/extremely dry skin and have been using it for two days now. It's looking better, but I'm guessing it'll probably take a week for my skin to be back to it's normal state. I'm terrified to try anything Neutrogena now.

Do not buy this product if you have sensitive or dry skin. This cleanser will strip away whatever remaining moisture on your face and it will make your face red and flaky. Yesterday I was breaking out a bit at the tops of my cheekbones so I applied some of this cleanser on my cheeks and washed it off. I noticed immediately how dry and tight my skin felt so I applied generous amounts of moisturizer. The next morning I woke up and it looked liked I had sunburn on my cheeks, thats how red they were. It did make my pimples smaller though, but I would still never use this cleanser again. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because I can understand why this product will be good for people with oily skin or have a lot of existing acne on their face. Just don't label your products as "gentle and won't strip skin" because that is the exact opposite of what this product has done for me.

This product is a one of a kind gentle but effective clean and clear skin product. It’s all ages appropriate and simply the best choice for all skin types ! I have used this product as long as I can remember and I am 54 years old . It’s still a staple in my skincare collection and I now purchase it for my grandchildren.

I bought this cleanser over a week ago in hopes of clearing up some pesky clogged pores I've been dealing with for years, as well as some bouts of adult acne. I usually use Olay cleanser, but I thought maybe that little bit of Salicylic Acid would finally do the trick and get those pores clean! The first day I used it I noticed right away how clean my chin was (my #1 problem area) and I thought I had finally found the right cleanser! I only wash my face once a day when using a new product in case of a reaction, and by the third day, it was like I'd poured straight acid on my face. My skin burned like I've never felt before, worse than a first degree sunburn, worse than a healing tattoo. It was unbearable! My eyes were swollen even though I never put the wash near my eyes, I couldn't talk or eat because my skin was so dry and tight, and when I finally had to talk because of work, the skin around my mouth cracked and tore. I haven't been able to make a facial expression in over four days. I can't believe how quickly my skin went down hill after that first day of use, and I used nothing but Neutragina Acne Wash, no other acne treatments with it. Be careful with this product. It might be good for some, or it might be really, really bad for others.

I bought this today and I was so excited to use it, because my chin, nose, and forhead were covered in blackheads and pimples ... So I get home I wash my face how the directions on the back of the bottle say and 5-10 minutes after I wash my face I notice a gigantic dry patch on my cheek, from one wash and personally I'm scared what would happen if I kept using it honestly I don't think people should be using this, DO NOT BUY THIS PROUDUCT.

I have had the worst problems with acne and it wasn't until recently that I realized that I was over-cleansing as a result, which only made my acne even worse. So, I went and bought this as a milder replacement for my old cleanser, and the results have been fantastic! Just washing twice a day with this and supplementing with a non-pore clogging moisturizer has cleaned up my complexion almost 100% in two weeks!

I have been using this wash for 20 years, nothing has been more effective for removing makeup and preventing acne without drying. I have combination skin and I have yet to find another product that is effective at cleansing without drying for a reasonable price point.

This was wayyyy to harsh on my skin and left my face incredibly red and tight, almost to point of feeling burned. I'm sure that it works amazing for someone out there so definitely try it for yourself to see if it's right for you, but doe me Ive never purchased since that first experience and would not buy in the future.

I bought this horrible Acne controle oil wash face wash a month back. And just after using for a week I realized that my skin is going dry, rough and itchy. Now after using it for a month my skin has completely dried up and has become red. To the contrary this acne controle face wash has given me numerous acne on my face. Now my skin is so dry that even if I apply any cream it itches to the core and is too painfull. I will recommend everyone not to go for their oil free face wash acne controle face wash. This is the worse face wash I have ever used.
