I purchased the Oil Free Acne Wash for my 13 year old daughter because I wanted her face to be deeply cleaned since she recently started having some minor breakouts.. She used it last night and her face started burning right away. She continued to rinse her face for a good 5 mins. She did not tell me about her experience until today. When she woke up this morning she again used the face wash, because she didn't realize it was the soap that was causing discomfort, and her face turned bright red and was burning really bad.. She sent me a text from school that her face was burning so bad she could hardly stand it....and she is NOT a complainer normally. I was worried that if she didn't wash her face (with a different product) whatever was causing burning could seriously hurt her skin so I brought her home from school so she could wash her face with Purpose. She has reported that washing her face with the Purpose has received some of her pain but it still hurts very bad and her cheeks and forehead are bright red like a bad sunburn.16 hours after using the Neutrogena soap her face is still bright red and very painful. I've used Neutrogena products for years and I am very disappointed with the product. I look to Neutrogena to gently but thoroughly clean my families skin.

I don’t have any pictures with this product but, I can say this was good on my face for the longest time until about a week my face started breaking out. I have super oily skin and this product didn’t work on me but it can for people that don’t have super sensitive skin!

i’ve used so many of these. nothing ever works for my acne but this is one of the few that i feel is extremely effective, i love salicylic acid too it’s great. doesn’t smell like anything, packaging is efficient. only thing is, it’s pretty expensive for something that i would use up in like 3 weeks

I'm a teen, and I am using Neutrogena's oil-free acne wash. I think results vary from people to people, because even though in the other reviews, it says it works, it only works sometimes for me. I had acne problems since I was 12, and started using this product soon after. Then for a while, I didn't have acne, so I stopped using the product. A few monthes later, I started getting a lot of acne, and started using it again. And for some reason, I got a few more pimples, and started to doubt that this will work. Fortunently, the wash started kicking in and I have a little less pimples, but I still have a ton to get rid of. I use the product twice a day; in the morning when I wake up and before going to bed. My advice: - Don't stop using it, even if your pimples are totally gone. - Maximum should be twice a day; if you use it too much, it'll remove the moisture from your face, which is not good.

I loved the smell and the way the product made my skin feel at first; however, I had not used this product long when I noticed my skin was burning. While working out Wednesday evening, I noticed that my face was burning. I thought it was just because I was hot and sweaty. No, I finally look a look at my skin & noticed that dry patches around my nose. I would not recommend this product. It did not agree with my skin.

My little brother bought me this because I kept complaining about my acne and boy did he pick good!! Its so gentle and smooth on the skin and ends up making your skin super clear and smooth! It doesn't take much maybe a squirt then a little to spread all across your face as needed! And it has a pleasant clean scent!

I bought this product literally 4 days ago and have used it 3 times. I started the night I got it, read the label and applied it to my face. The first night was amazing and it made my skin soft. I applied cream and went to sleep. The next morning I applied it again and I noticed my face was a bit red. I assumed I had rubbed too hard and so I tried again that night but applied a bit softer. The next morning was awful my face was itchy, red, numb and inflamed. It is still this way after discontinuing it and 2 days have gone by. So disappointed in neutrogena as it says it is good for all skin types and is gental.

I used this product 4 times, and it only got worse with each use. It made my skin dry and my face felt so tight and uncomfortable. My skin was red and inflamed. It also burned a little and made my face itchy. It still did not feel much better after using moisturizer. Will not be using this product again.
