I've used this product for close to a decade (it helped clear my mild acne in high school and has kept my face clear since) and it's the only facewash I've used that doesn't make me break out. I'm not sure what happened with all of the reviewers stating how harsh it is, I have insanely sensitive skin (warm water sometimes gives me hives) and this has never bothered me. I always moisturize after washing with this and have never had any dryness, burning or discomfort. Love it!

I used this a lot during my teenage years of trying to combat acne.  It was a nice product and brighten the skin. It didn’t have no harsh scrubbing particles in it that got stuck in the pores. But it caused me to become very oily and possibly over dried out my skin.

Never really had acne problems in my life until recently. So a mate referred me onto this product. I've only used this product twice and it did settle the acne right down but the side effects that came with it was not worth it. My face is now burnt red, feels like its on fire and my skin is flaky. These side effects have siverly interfered with both my jobs. I am the face of an Event's Arena Centre and also a DVD presenter for Group Fitness Aerobic Classes. Is there anything that could clear this up immediately??? :(

I ran out of my normal day-to-day face, Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, so I had to borrow this product from my roommate. I knew that I had acne and somewhat oily skin, so I thought, "sure, this should be okay." Boy was I wrong! I ended up using it for 2 days and after the second day of using it I began to notice that my face was getting very irritated, dry, and itchy around my chin/neck area. It was such a weird feeling! I tried to soothe the irritation with a moisturizer but the dryness continued. The next day when I woke up, my face felt flaky and dry around my mouth area. Even now, about 3 days after my last use, my face still feels SO irritated and dry! I will never use this product again! It may just be me, but for anyone with sensitive skin, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product!

I’ve suffered with acne for most of life. The only solution that has been effective in clearing my skin and keeping it blemish free is dermatologist-prescribed medications. In my opinion, this product is for mild skin conditions that can easily be addressed via low dose SA.

This was one of the first acne face washes that worked without irrirating my skin. I used to use it as a tesn. Now that im an adult and splurging on pricier acne products (that work very well), I still cant help but think if I should just go back to my cheaper neutrogena washes. So good! So affordable!

This is an amazing product. When using this, it feels nice, clean, fresh and has a nice scent. It is a nice spray bottle do it is easy to use. And the ingredients aren't junk, they are real! It has reduced my acne and I recommend to use this product.

Neutrogena does it again. They do have a pretty good line, my mom uses them a lot. That means they’re not just for teenagers LOL. This oil free wash felt great but I don’t have lots of acne so if compared to someone who does I’m not sure how it would work.

I'm from indonesia, I'm so disappointed with this product, I bought this product 5 days ago.The next day after I use this product my face get dry, its so hurt and my eyes get swollen. The second day I get dark patches on both sides of my mouth, it's so terrible.

I purchased the Oil Free Acne Wash for my 13 year old daughter because I wanted her face to be deeply cleaned since she recently started having some minor breakouts.. She used it last night and her face started burning right away. She continued to rinse her face for a good 5 mins. She did not tell me about her experience until today. When she woke up this morning she again used the face wash, because she didn't realize it was the soap that was causing discomfort, and her face turned bright red and was burning really bad.. She sent me a text from school that her face was burning so bad she could hardly stand it....and she is NOT a complainer normally. I was worried that if she didn't wash her face (with a different product) whatever was causing burning could seriously hurt her skin so I brought her home from school so she could wash her face with Purpose. She has reported that washing her face with the Purpose has received some of her pain but it still hurts very bad and her cheeks and forehead are bright red like a bad sunburn.16 hours after using the Neutrogena soap her face is still bright red and very painful. I've used Neutrogena products for years and I am very disappointed with the product. I look to Neutrogena to gently but thoroughly clean my families skin.
