This product left my face a total chaos. I read the reviews on it and saw the dry skin warnings. I knew my skin was oily so I thought eh no problem, the product won't dry my skin. I went out and bought the product, I also bought the fast working cleansing wipes. I was so excited that I rushed back home. I applied the product and the wipes, and felt clean. The sensation lasted for 10 minutes. Afterwards, I felt as if I couldn't move the muscles in my face. I thought that this was because the product was working. In the morning, the same thing happened. Except this time, I felt irritation in the corners of my mouth. I found this weird but ignored it. 5 days passed and the same thing was happening, I couldn't move my face and my skin was getting more and more irritated as the days passed. I noticed that when I touched my face, there was no oil but my skin was raspy. That night, I looked in the mirror and saw that my skin was peeling. I was so shocked and surprised! I had never had dryness problems in my face. I felt horrible and my self esteem went down by a lot. It was so embarrassing. I started to put moisturizer on hoping it would help, it didn't feel irritated but the dryness was there. I decided to quit using the wipes. This helped a tad, but the problem wasn't gone. I started putting Eucerin in the most affected areas. Things were starting to get better, and I still washed my face with the wash. Just tonight, I looked clearly into the mirror and saw that almost 3/4 of my face had peeling skin. I immediately stopped using the product. I am very dissapointed as I had heard many great things about this product, but one thing is for sure... I am NEVER using this product again. Waste of money, don't use it unless you have SEVERELY oily skin. I wish I could get my money back.

The Neutrogena oil-free acne face wash is a staple product in my skin care routine. I've been using this product since I was a teen, I am now in my 30s. It gently cleanses my face without dying out my skin. And it effortlessly removes makeup, oil and dirt from my face. Neutrogena keeps my face pimple free.

I used this for about a week and I got the best results from it. I loved the smell and the bottle was shaped just right I could get every last drop. It was also very silky smooth and lathered up well. You also have to use very little product to wash your face a little goes a long way.

I used this product twice, and it dried out my face soooo badly that I couldn't even move my mouth!! My face turned red and flaky, and it looked like I was growing scales. At first, I thought this reaction was from my acne cream, but after reading these reviews, I realized it must've been this wash's fault. I doubt I'll ever use this junk again. PLEASE ,please, Neutrogena, make a gentler, more effective wash, so others don't have to experience the horrible side effects.

Mistake number 1: I used this and woke up with a rash on my face. It usually takes time for any acne treatment to work so I kept using it. Mistake number 2: I noticed my skin was VERY VERY DRY. So I decided to use it once a day and use plenty of moisturizer. ...no results. Mistake number 3: I used a small amount and added lots of water to dilute this HARSH product. YET my skin changed from dry to very flaky, leathery, itchy, and I got clusters of pimples my cheeks. I have small zits and these pimples/cyst were new to me! The BEST decision discontinued using this product after several months of using it. My skin was so bad, I HAD to see a dermatologist to help my skin recover from the damages and acne marks of this HARSH product. My self-esteem was at all time low due to my face. I looked like I aged too. AWFUL!! 2 Cents: Just because a product is on the market and "over the counter" does not mean it is safe to use on your face. Your face is delicate. Please don't use just any product. Do you research. Better yet, see a dermatologist. It is the safest way and your doctor is accountable & reliable for your skin care. Even though it's expensive, realize that dermatologist are experts in the field of skin care and are willingly to help you get clear skin in the safest way possible. For 14 years, I've used product after product (including proactive) trying to "cure" my acne with similar over-the-counter drugs when I should have just called my doctor to help me find the best product for my skin.

I got this hoping it would clear up my awful acne, and it did... For like 2 days all was well... and then my parade of happiness was rained on. HARD. The skin under my chin started to hurt and become red and irritated. First it started on the left and spread completely to the right. My chin was really noticeably red. This happened on days 3 and 4 of using the cleanser. Also on day 4, my skin started flaking off and NO amount of makeup could cover it up. Not only had this product burned my skin!!! It also made me look absolutely AWFUL. The only reason i gave this thing two stars is because it made my skin look like a champion for 2 days.

The only go to cleanser for Ance and oily skin for quick results. I always pick some up for to place in the guest room for guests and it always gets compliments. I told my friends about it and they use it too. It also has a nice scent. The ingredients are effective for all.

They must’ve done something to formulation of this product I’ve used it for years as a face and body wash no problems but in the past year I’ve been getting bottles that are hard to rinse off in the shower and I am left feeling slimy and soapy. Now every bottle I buy is like this so I’ve stopped buying. Literally you could be rinsing for 5-10 minutes and still be able to rub you hands together and see bubbles. You would have to scrub it off in order to get it off. It’s absolutely horrible and has caused me so much stress. It’s like this with all the acne products the grapefruit one and the body washes and I’ve seen this issue with hard and soft water. I don’t know how it’s possible to make a soap with this problem but they did it.

What can I say I Love this product. Started using it when I was a young adult, before they made all the other scents, this was a classic. Great on my skin, gel wash, or bar, and the both would last you for a good amount of time. Before there was Proactive, this was the jam, to taje care of problem skin, and Stridex pads, lol. But really, cant go worng with a classic, for sensative skin, and especially, teenage skin. It gives you a glow afterwards.

I use this face wash every night before bed. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. It has drastically reduced the amount of acne on my chin and cheeks. I have also given this to my teenager, and it has helped him with his acne. It doesn't sting the skin, or leave it feeling oily.
