My boyfriend introduced me to this product a few years ago. Before this I tried proactive, home remedies and Dr prescriptions and nothing worked. My acne was disgusting, it would be lined up from my chin and cheekbones. There was always a new zit on my forehead or nose. I would always have whiteheads on my T zone and just oily as well. So when I tried this, it burned at first but I tried it again a few days later and it made my face feel dry and few days more of using it and my skin cleared up but then I had dry, tight skin situation. I thought “ok, dry skin is better than acne” LoL. I found it very useful if I use it every other day or just 3-4 times a week and I use it with a moisturizer, it works perfectly! So I AM VERY HAPPY!!!!

I used this in the summer one time and it didn't burn or make me break out. Thinking it was clearing my skin, I tried it again. I used it the night before, and when I woke up and went to school, I discovered my entire face was swollen and it burned off my skin. It was painful for 3 days straight with non stop burning. It hurt to move my face. I was shocked because Neutrogena products normally don't do this.

My skin was always bouncing between being too oily or too dry. I tried so many different face washes and moisturizers but my skin either remained the same or got worse. Eventually, someone told me about this oil-free wash. I tried it, and after only a few days, I saw a HUGE improvement. I would recommend this product to anyone who breaks out daily.

I have been using this product for about a week now. At first it was fine and my face felt a little dry, but after a few days my face became very red and flushed after getting a shower and washing with this product. If you have sensitive skin at all I do not recommend using this, you will regret it!!

used this wash a total of 3 times and my faces dried out , became very red, and very itchy to the point it became painful and brought tears to my eyes. i was embarrassed to go to work and even leave my house! i bought a new gentler aveeno wash and some ultra calming aveeno moisturizer and it starting to ease up but still very dry and very irritated. i have seen countless reviews with the same issue....so WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU STILL SELLING THIS PRODUCT???? very dissatisfied and wish i would have seen these reviews first! terrible!!

First of all, I've been using this product for almost 3 years now. This is my go to oil-free cleanser. It works wonders, I used to have mild acne, but thanks to this my acne went away. I will continue to buy it, I hope this encourages you to also try out for yourself.

I recently tried the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with Salicylic Acid, hoping it would help with my occasional breakouts. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. While the product is marketed as a gentle acne solution, I found it to be quite drying on my skin. After using it for a week, my face felt tight and somewhat irritated. The formula does have salicylic acid, which is a well-known acne-fighting ingredient. However, it seemed to strip my skin of its natural oils rather than just targeting the acne. I also experienced some redness and flakiness around my nose and chin area. On a more positive note, the cleanser has a pleasant scent and lathers well, making it easy to apply and rinse off. It might work better for those with very oily skin, but if you have combination or sensitive skin, you may want to be cautious. In summary, while the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash could work for others, it didn't suit my skin type. There might be better options available for those with sensitive or dry skin.

I bought this yesterday to help with the dressed Mask-ne (I wear a mask all day at work and started to get the odd pimple in the chin area). I used it once last night and noticed after about an hour that my skin around my nose and mouth/chin was physically sore to the touch and bright red. I woke up this morning with what seems like Hundreds of tiny pimples and my skin is itchy and raw! I wish I never tried this and stuck with the odd breakout from the mask.

i've used so many of these. nothing ever works for my acne but this is one of the few that i feel is extremely effective, i love salicylic acid too it's great. doesn't smell like anything, packaging is efficient. only thing is, it's pretty expensive for something that i would use up in like 3 weeks

I bought this last week, after 3 days of use my face is covered in hives. This is the only thing I've changed in my routine. I used to use this product about 2 years ago and never had any issues but now I regret buying it again. I'm supposed to go to a birthday party today but I'm covered in hives all over my face and dont want to even leave the house.
