This acne wash tends to dry my face out too much. I won’t recommend it for anyone who already battles with dry skin. But, I can see someone battling oily skin loving it. I used this product during shower time as part of my cleaning process. It definitely helped clear my skin but the dryness was a little too much for me to deal with. Being an older woman dryness mean wrinkles and crepey appearance. <— not a good thing. However, when it comes to cleaning your face it does its job, maybe a little too well for some.

I bought this product 4 days ago and I used it one time. Seeing that it is #1 recommended I decided to try it to clear my face up. WORST MISTAKE EVER. The next day I noticed that my face was getting really dry and itchy. I had the worst reaction to this product and it make my face super red, dry, and flakey. I stopped using it right away and four days later my face is still super red and dry. The feeling is like having a face mask on that has hardened, but you can’t take it off. I wish I read the reviews before buying this product because I would have for sure not bought this face wash. If you are really considering it talk to a dermatologist first because this should be the last product recommended to use.

When i tried this , the first night it was okay. The 2nd time i used it , it burned when i put it on my face and when i washed it off my face was dry and hard to move. It burned when i would try to smile and it just simply dried out my face. This product sucks.

This Neutrogena face wash is a essential to my skin care routine. My daughter and I use this face wash and both of us have sensitive skin so certain washes can break us out or just do nothing at all, but with this face wash out skin is always clear with no break outs from acne or rashes...never too oily or too dry just right. I love the price and the longevity of each bottle. It takes a tiny dime sized amount to cover and clean your entire face.

Neutrogena oil-free acne wash with salicylic acid is my daily face wash for acne -prone skin I've been using this product in my AM/PM routine for years now it contains 2% salicylic acid as well as some plant ingredients. Making a very light foam with water helps clean my face by penertrating into my pores,eliminating oil and dirt and it unclog my pores without over drying my face. It has a very light smell not irritating my face or breaking me out worse. the face wash treats and prevents breakouts and its suitable for daily use on acne prone skin. It comes in a plastic bottle with pump I also learned a little goes a long way always remember you can always add but not take away.

I'm very surprised to see all the negative reviews here. I am a 54 yr old grandmother to a 14 yr old granddaughter. I have been using this for years on my combination skin. I only have an occasion pimple but I use it because I love the way it makes my skin feel and look! I get compliments on my skin all the time. I introduced this wash to my grandaughter when she was 12 and she loved it too and continues to use it at 14. It keeps her face clear and she tells all her friends about it. We buy up ak few bottles at a time because we are always afraid you will stop making it. It has to be a great product if we can't live without it even with the age gap! Well done Neutrogena!

Been using it since the days of my teens. Trusted for many years and always will. I've tried many brands of face wash across the shelf, but nothing works for acne better than Neutrogena. They perfected the formula with this one. Visible results in days and the results remain as long as you continue using it. Works on acne quick!

This is the most powerful acne wash EVER. This stuff will completely remove any oil from your skin and clear it out, but the problem is, it's just too strong for daily use. I actually use the regular Neutrogena facial bar on a daily basis. If my skin begins to feel oily, then I'll step up to the Neutrogena "Deep Clean Facial Cleanser" and if necessary I'll also use that with the "Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent". Normally, that's enough, but if, and only if, that isn't enough, I'll use the "Oil-Free Acne Wash". I can only use this product maybe once or twice a week, and that will do the job, in conjunction with the other products. I could never use it twice a day as directed, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good product. I read some of the other reviews and I sympathize with those that may have developed a rash from this product. The first time I used it, the same thing happened to me from following the directions, but I did figure out how to use it, and it does have a permanent place in my normal skin regimen now.

I recently started breaking out more than I ever had so being that neutrogna is so highly praised I decided I would try 5his acne wash. I haven't had it a week and my chin and areas around my lips feel as if they are on fire! My skin is so dry,red, and sore to touch that I cant even wash my face without grimacing. Eating has become a task as well since the area that is burnt is around my mouth!!! Needless to say I wont be using it anymore and I'm fearful to use any other neutrogena products!!
