The last couple of double pack chuck roasts I have purchased from Sam’s have been small have been full of cartilage and gristle, even after cooking in the crockpot, low and slow for 10 hours and same result in old school oven roasting. There were still parts of the roast that were not tender or fall apart, the quality has had a significant decrease.

Sams is the go to place for meat of all kinds. The meat is of great quality and doesn't shrink down as much that can be bought elsewhere. Since our Winn Dixie store and meat market closed, it is the only place to get good meat in our town. I get two of these great boneless chuck roasts to feed our families that total 11 with some left over for sandwiches and one of our favorites with cornbread, roast beef hash!

Expensive, however sometimes you can find a good piece for a decent price.

Terrific beef. I pressure cook this roast.
