Cooking Instructions

1. Thaw & Prep: Fully thaw the roast in the refrigerator. Pat it dry and season generously with salt, pepper, and desired herbs.

2. Sear (Recommended): In a large, oven-safe pot (like a Dutch oven) over medium-high heat, sear all sides of the roast until deep golden brown. Remove roast.

3. Braise (Low & Slow): Add liquid (e.g., beef broth) to the pot, along with optional vegetables (carrots, onions, celery) and aromatics. Return roast to the pot, ensuring liquid comes about halfway up the sides.

4. Bake: Cover the pot tightly and bake in a preheated 300°F - 325°F (150°C - 160°C) oven for 3-4 hours, or until the roast is incredibly fork-tender and easily shreds.

5. Rest: Once cooked, remove the roast from the oven, tent loosely with foil, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before shredding or slicing. While internal temperature should reach at least 145°F, tenderness is the key indicator of doneness for this cut.
