GREAT….Tender

This is my third time to buy this package of double roasts…..the first time I was very pleasantly surprised of the tenderness and flavor of the meat; thought on second try “we shall see” and wasn’t disappointed at all; third purchase have become such a fan writing a review. They are reasonably priced, tender, and quality of meat is the same all 3 times. There are 3 adults in this household and we all agree it is “the best value” and will continue to purchase.

Great Value for Great Meat

Sams is the go to place for meat of all kinds. The meat is of great quality and doesn't shrink down as much that can be bought elsewhere. Since our Winn Dixie store and meat market closed, it is the only place to get good meat in our town. I get two of these great boneless chuck roasts to feed our families that total 11 with some left over for sandwiches and one of our favorites with cornbread, roast beef hash!

Very flavorful and useful in several recipes

It's worth the price. As long as you cook it slowly on low heat, this chuck roast will be fall apart tender and has a good flavor. My suggestion is don't just plop it in the baking dish: the marbleized fat adds flavor, so leave that in place, but spend a few minutes using a paring knife to trim away some of the connective tissue and silver-skin. We use this for pot roast, shredded beef sandwiches, and even have used the leftovers for beef omelets. Overall, it's a useful beef base for a number of dishes. Just select one from Sam Club's meat case that has lots of marbling.

Sometimes I can afford it

It’s a little too expensive. A few dollars expensive. Maybe it’s just me.

Did not meet expectation

I was hoping to use this for a dinner in the future, but after trying this one, doubtful. Tough and flavorless.

Comfort food pot roast

This was a big beautiful pot roast for a good price. I made it in the crockpot with potatoes and carrots and mushrooms, I served it with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everybody said it was delicious and there were no leftovers.

Better than Crest

Better quality and value than Crest. We were shocked at how much better this roast was than where we normally purchased it. We will be only be buying it from Sam's going forward. And, what's not to love about Scan and Go?

Go Back to the 2-pack

I was disappointed that Sam's Club went away from packaging (2) roasts together. I would really like to see them go back to that. It was a great value and one of the things that prompts a visit to Sam's.

Beefy and flavorful

Flavorful without the metal taste I would get from other suppliers. Great fat content to add to the flavor and my health. Just the right thickness too and fresh.

Boneless Chuck Roast

I made pot roast with this chuck. It was good and flavorful. A bit fatty, but that is chuck. It wasn't delicately veined, but instead heavily veined with fat. I have had better from Sam's meat department.
