Super well reviewed and it has been a solid performer so far. Amazed how little water is used to clean clothes and how dry the wash is after a high speed spin. Super clean clothes. Super quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read many reviews on many washers and felt a bit overwhelmed. In the end, this LG top-load washer was our final decision. We've had it for about a month and we're very pleased. As others said, your clothes are not completely covered in water, but it appears to be plenty of water to get the clothes clean. Our family doesn't get muddy on a regular basis but we exercise several times a week so our clothes get sweaty. This washer has done a great job at getting everything from sheets, jeans, sweaty gym clothes, and t-shirts clean. We don't use a lot of settings. I use the 'normal' setting 95% of the time and the washer has performed well. It's not a loud machine and it doesn't rattle around. The only thing we had trouble with was the initial test after we installed it. Don't bother calling customer service, just look it up on YouTube, it's a LOT faster. The trick is to press all the buttons before the initial chime ends.

I purchased this washer based on its excellent review in Consumer Reports. It uses less water and less detergent than my previous model. The clothes come out almost dry, so they will need less time in the dryer, too. I miss being able to stop the load and let the clothes soak for an hour before continuing the wash. The washer determines whether the load is light, medium, or large and does not display the result, so I am guessing on how much detergent to use since I don't know how much water will be used.

I LOVE this LG washer! It arrived and set-up within minutes. This is my first impeller machine and love the fact that it holds any size load…even comforters. It has enough selections from delicates to super wash. I would purchase this again. I even recommended it to my mother and she got the exact same model.

Once I learned how to use it, I love it! Very quiet, but the cycles are longer than my old washer. I think it has to do with energy & water efficiency. The one thing I don't like is the detergent drawer. It holds water and will eventually cause mold/mildew. So, after a load finishes, and I get the clothes out, I pull the drawer out and remove the blue part and empty the water and wipe out the drawer. I have only had it for 2 months, so no problem with mold yet.

I can do a nice large load of wash, everything comes out very clean, but the best part is I have very short arms and the drum is very big but I can reach everything on the bottom. I can throw away the tongs that I used to have to use to get things out from the bottom of my old washer. It may sound like it’s a trivial thing but when you’re short and have tiny arms it’s the best.

Love my new LG washer! It runs like a champ and does a great job cleaning our clothes. You are able to select a deep wash setting, which is a big plus. I highly recommend it. We previously had a front loading washer, which we only had for 8 years and left your clothes smelling like detergent, even after double rinsing. Thank you for making a great top load washer at a great value too. I would highly recommended it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sheets tend to get twisted. I tried using the bedding setting for just sheets to prevent this from happening, but it uses a lot of water and put the machine off balance in the spin. To rebalance itself, it automatically did a 2nd rinse to redistribute the laundry in the tub. That wasted a lot of water. I would have preferred a notification that the load iwas unbalanced that would stop the spin and allow me to open the lid to manually redistribute the laundry by hand. You could always redistribute wash with the old machines. If I see that a spin may be unbalanced before it starts, I would like to be able to pause the cycle, open the lid, and redistribute by hand. Additionally, with old machine, after it extracted the soapy water, it would spin out the water and then spray water from the side onto the clothes during the spin to begin a rinse. That water was pulled through the clothes, rinsing them off while spinning. The spin would then stop and the tub would fill for the final full rinse. In the past, lids did not lock except during the spin. There should be a way to pause the cycle and open the lid before a spin to manually redistribute clothes if you need to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2nd time the charm (1rst smooshed before I could get it) but this one works great. Fills up spins almost completely dry and hasn’t gotten unbalanced yet. I had a previous model of this but it died after 7 years. I like the impeller design.

My husband and I bought this washing machine about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I was very excited for a brand new washer with a large drum and no agitator, as sometimes delicate clothing, sheets, and blankets can get wrapped up around one and ruined. However, the energy efficient washer that this claims to be does not live up to its name. From what I can gather, the washing machine weighs out how many clothes are in the washer, no matter what cycle you select, and then uses that to determine how much water it will need to wash the clothes. It never uses enough water. I watch the wash as it goes, and for half of it, there are still dry clothes sitting on the top as the washer cycles. I’m very unsatisfied with this washing machine, unfortunately, I believe it is past the time that I can return it to the store of which I purchased it from. I do not recommend this washer. The last time I did laundry, all of the clothes came out, smelling like dirty socks. All I did was select the normal cycle, with a normal amount of clothes, and they came out smelling worse than when they had originally gone in. They say not to use a lot of detergent, But man, you really do need a ton of detergent if you want your clothes to come out smelling clean. They do have an option for water+, but it adds so much time to the cycle. I’ve been doing my loads on bulky because it adds the most water, but it could be upwards of two hours a load. Not energy efficient if you ask me .
