I purchased my LG wash machine recently to replace an older LG wash machine which finally needed to be replaced. We really do like this new one, and it actually looks and cleans better than the old machine. I like the control panel at the back end of the unit.

We already had a LG dryer which we love, so when our old (not LG) washer gave out we decided to get a LG washer as well. Really glad we did. It's quiet and efficient and does everything we expect from a quality machine. Plus, the 10-year direct drive warranty is a real bonus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the LG washer I bought a month ago. It seems to be doing a good job doing what it was designed to do. However, I do have one complaint. There is very little information in the manual about all the different cycles. I feel like I’m just guessing about which cycle to use for my different loads of laundry. I usually just use the Normal cycle. I actually went online and found some 1 minute videos about the different cycles. Whether these were authentic LG videos, I have no idea. But why should I have to search for this information? I just spent hundreds of dollars on the washer. Is it too much to ask that you include a good manual?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2nd time the charm (1rst smooshed before I could get it) but this one works great. Fills up spins almost completely dry and hasn’t gotten unbalanced yet. I had a previous model of this but it died after 7 years. I like the impeller design.

I can do a nice large load of wash, everything comes out very clean, but the best part is I have very short arms and the drum is very big but I can reach everything on the bottom. I can throw away the tongs that I used to have to use to get things out from the bottom of my old washer. It may sound like it’s a trivial thing but when you’re short and have tiny arms it’s the best.

Overall the washer performs well with two exceptions. The detergent and softener trays are filled with water after the completion of a cycle . The detergent tray is removable allowing us to empty the water in the sink. The softener tray is not removable. The washer's lead need to be open for several days to let the water evaporate. The other exception is the washer doesn't handle load balance well. Loads become unbalanced easily. Larger unbalanced loads require turning off the cycle to manually balance the load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lost my washer and dryer of 20 years when we sold our house, so jumped on a Memorial Day deal for a new LG washer and dryer. Super well reviewed and it has been a solid performer so far. Amazed how little water is used to clean clothes and how dry the wash is after a high speed spin. Super clean clothes. Super quiet.

I really miss my old machine. I don't love that now I have to use the "water plus" button every time to cover the laundry. Tried without doing it and not clean enough. I don't like that it won't fill with the lid open so I can see what's going on. Even with a glass top I can't see and have to "monitor". I don't like that it goes out of balance with the same loads that my old machine was fine with. Hoping it will grow on me because I do like the bigger tub and my other machine was so old that I'm sure it wasn't healthy anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used washer and dryer a few times and still baffled by the washer. The impeller technology cleans the clothes but when one watches it, it's hard to figure how it works. Still mystified on how to override default settings.

After finally being able to download a fully, comprehensive instructional booklet from the internet, we are figuring out how to achieve the most satisfactory way to wash our clothing. On some cycles, the top layer of clothing was not even getting wet! We have finally figured out the most efficient cycle for enough water to cover the clothing and the machine seems to be doing a good job now.
