My previous washer of another brand, was loud, shook like crazy and only lasted about four years. Only time will tell how well this one last, and does it's job, but for right now I am very happy with it.

I was so fascinated by my first wash that I laid my cellphone on the glass lid and took a long video. I love that it tells you how many minutes the entire cycle will take. And OMG, it plays a happy tune when it's done. I literally skip to the laundry room when I hear it. Many clothes are coming out of the wash much softer that ever before.

Only down fall is the instructions are not very clear, it's kind of a hit or miss when you start the washing machine to see if it fill the tub with enough water. Got it for a pretty decent price...

Nothing lasts forever and all things mechanical will wear out. Repairs will be required at some point in time. But the honeymoon was too short. A friend of ours has an LG washer and dryer that are 10 years old. They run like champs. So when it came time to get a new washer we decided to try LG. We purchased our washer June 2022. This would be our 1st LG product. We were thrilled with how it worked. It was quiet and cleaned the clothes better than any other washer. Then the noise started. At 1st it was an occasional small squeaking sound. Like a dolphin off in the distance. Soon the dolphin was at our doorstep wanting to come inside. It turns out the sound was the shaft seal between the transmission and the drum. The sad thing is the sound began with only 3 months of use. We are hoping that the repair will send the dolphin home and many years of blissful use remains before us. We will see.

No complaints, works great, but washes differently from previous washing machines. Since there is no designated permanent press wash cycle, We figured out how to do permanent press by easily adjusting temp and spin levels. We chose the 4.5 cf washer because the bottom of the washer is easily reachable to remove clothes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would like more water and less time on total cycle. After all water is what cleans the laundry. Under normal cycle, barely any water goes into the machine. One shirt I got out after the cycle was done, had a dry spot on the back. More electric bill will result but not sure the laundry is all that clean. Used various cycles but the more water the less agitation is the way it seems to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read many reviews on many washers and felt a bit overwhelmed. In the end, this LG top-load washer was our final decision. We've had it for about a month and we're very pleased. As others said, your clothes are not completely covered in water, but it appears to be plenty of water to get the clothes clean. Our family doesn't get muddy on a regular basis but we exercise several times a week so our clothes get sweaty. This washer has done a great job at getting everything from sheets, jeans, sweaty gym clothes, and t-shirts clean. We don't use a lot of settings. I use the 'normal' setting 95% of the time and the washer has performed well. It's not a loud machine and it doesn't rattle around. The only thing we had trouble with was the initial test after we installed it. Don't bother calling customer service, just look it up on YouTube, it's a LOT faster. The trick is to press all the buttons before the initial chime ends.

After finally being able to download a fully, comprehensive instructional booklet from the internet, we are figuring out how to achieve the most satisfactory way to wash our clothing. On some cycles, the top layer of clothing was not even getting wet! We have finally figured out the most efficient cycle for enough water to cover the clothing and the machine seems to be doing a good job now.

We do own an LG refrigerator and that experienced swayed our decision to go with LG. My wife loves the ease to set up a wash load and the dryer as well. Its quiet, efficient and simply well worth the money.

I purchased this washer based on its excellent review in Consumer Reports. It uses less water and less detergent than my previous model. The clothes come out almost dry, so they will need less time in the dryer, too. I miss being able to stop the load and let the clothes soak for an hour before continuing the wash. The washer determines whether the load is light, medium, or large and does not display the result, so I am guessing on how much detergent to use since I don't know how much water will be used.
