The best part is the AI Opti Wash Cycle learns and improves with time. I can load a big load at once as well. Bonus points for the large capacity detergent and softener dispenser. No more measuring out detergent for each load. If you are a busy household this is an amazing investment!

I purchased WD53DBA900HBA1 in December and want to order a second front-filter kit. I have two 'adult' boys living with me and anticipate a filter problem in the near future. I want to have a second filter on hand so they can just swap it out instead of having them 'clean' it.The filter is 3 parts: the frame and the two mesh parts that fit together. I am being fastidious about keeping the lint filter clean and the slot clean and dry. I am doing this because cleaning the entire unit every few months seems like a major job (removing the entire cover. Please let me know how I can order a second fillter.

Let's get straight to the point: The "Combo" concept is the best thing to arrive in the US from Europe (even if we invented it). The convenience is unmatched—you load dirty clothes before work, and come home to clean, dry clothes. No more transferring wet laundry or dealing with mildew smells because you forgot to switch loads. It also saves space, or lets you install two units to double your capacity. The "Ventless" Reality (Heat Pump): This model is ventless (120V plug, no exhaust duct needed). The Good: Easy install anywhere with water/drain. The lower temperature is much gentler on fabrics. The Bad: The cycle time. It takes forever. Civilizations will rise and fall before a full wash/dry cycle finishes. Also, if you stuff it full, clothes come out quite wrinkled. My Advice: If you have a laundry vent, get a vented version. It's faster and more familiar. Only stick with this Heat Pump version if you absolutely cannot vent outside. The Machine Itself: Features: It's a solid "A" for engineering. The screen is basically a full Android tablet—you can even watch YouTube on it. Auto-Dispense: Huge plus. You fill the tank once and forget it. No measuring cups for every load. The Flaw (The Filter): While the machine gets an A, the filter engineer gets a D-. To clean it, you have to disassemble it like a Lego set, then scrape the lint out with your fingernails, which makes a mess. It's a baffling design choice in an otherwise premium machine. Verdict: An excellent combo solution. If you have the option for vented, take it. The filter is a pain, but the convenience of "load and go" outweighs the negatives.

Great at washing everything. Worst thing is cleaning this SD card lint filter that does not stand on its own and can not be plced anywhere in a bespoke mannr. And then…The drain is hidden behind the cartridge of soaps and the hose barely reaches the end of the unhinged door. And then It is not at an incline where just any bottle can recieve the run off water. Ifs just nightmare and not worth the money to commit to this maintenance. Im so upset I came to this website lookin c accesories that would help the cleaning process. Not even writing this review is easy, look at the darn typos that generated idk what these letters are jumping.

Absolute worst. Will not meet any times specified. Constantly have to clean bottom filter. Condenser more than difficult to clean without specialized brushes or vacuum attachment. Fastest washing time on super speed was 1 hour 18 minutes wash only then a typical drying tim of 2 hours. Half of the time I have to add a cycle of 30 to 45 minutes timed dry to finish drying. Auto detergent works occasionally. Bedding is a 6 hour 30 minute cycle. Terrible product. Will replace as soon as possible and set this machine by the road for free, with sign stating works with aggrevation. Samsung should pay me back.

We have had our machine for 18 months and its been 100% reliable. Its very efficient, sometimes less than 1 kwh for a load. Throw your clothes in, press play and 2 to 3 hours later put away your clothes. It takes as big a load as we will ever put in it. A sleeping bag is no problem. Clothes cone out softer than a regular drier and I really think it will extend the life of our clothes and reduce the amount of fibers going down the drain. Thats based on the greatly reduced amount of lint we have to clean. We are an empty nest couple so I can speak to how it would work for a household of 3 or more. My feeling is that if you adapt your laundry habits to a combo it will be just fine. Lots of cycles. Bedding takes a long time. We learned to wash sheets on permanent press which cuts the time in half. Also we wash towels on normal AI setting vs towel setting. The towels still come out soft and clean in much less time. The tanks for detergent and softener are great. Saves measuring and mess. The machine tells you when to refill and a full tank is good for many loads. For us its good for at least a couple of months. Very happy with it.

I have given this W/D several months to use and get to know its pros and cons. At this point, it's mostly cons. The only positive is the space-saving aspect. Everything else is terrible. It takes several hours to do one load of laundry, the lint trap is a pain to clean, and the emergency water drain is THE WORST DESIGN FLAW IN HISTORY. I just spent the last hour mopping up the flood that cleaning it resulted in. I sincerely regret this purchase.
