I got this generator for mother's day and couldn't be happier. I run a micro bakery and also have livestock cattle. I need something to let me run my bakery in bad weather and keep water flowing for my steers. This generator did the job! Easy to start and comes with remote start and easy hook up. We are happy with our purchase and recommend it to all our friends. Two of them Who also got the same one too.

This is a Great Brand Buy from a Great Company. DELIVERY WAS FREE!!!!! A 300 lb piece of equipment delivered FOR FREE!!!! Not one Big Box could match the price. Dual fuel!!!! With spiraling fuel costs, I can switch as price dictates. And Remote Electric Start! From the speed of delivery to the oh so jovial delivery driver, a great experience from start to finish. And every man who saw it said Wow! GREAT CHOICE, Westinghouse is a Great Company, and this is a killer machine! I done Good! Lol

generator is great , just cant believe, that the would not provide the connection cords , to go with the unit , since these are not cords you can find easily, heck even went to 2 different Walmart stores couldn't find them, have order them online, just to let u know , bought a 5500 , 35 some ought years ago , now that one came with all cords and accessories needed, can you imagine if I needed the generator in a emergency , i would have been screwed, all I'm saying its like u go and buy a plane and u cant use it cause it aint got no wings

First I would like to compliment Walmart. This is my second big online purchase from Walmart and I am satisfied with both. This is my first generator and I was able to connect and test it successfully. It works as it is supposed. Exactly what I have looked for on the best price I have found!

This generator is just simply awesome - especially for the value. I purchased this unit in late November and took maybe a week to arrive. I had my electrician add a 50 amp plug on outside of house to a breaker in breaker box with an interlock switch. When power goes out, I plug the generator into plug and it will power most of the house. I have a 4,600 square foot house and I was able to power all the single poles in the house, 1 of the A/Cs and my pool equipment. (Scared of another one of the freezes like in February of 2021) It powered most all of the house outside of the 220s and the second A/C - wow! I could not be more happy. I am running it on gas but east to switch over to propane. It started on the first push and ran like a dream. I am also using non ethanol gas which I would highly recommend. Even with that and some sta-bil, I will run it for 5-10 minutes a month just to make sure everything flows nicely. This is by far the best generator in this price range.

We are using this generator and a transfer switch to supply power for our house during power outages. The most important features for us was the 9,500/12,500 watts, battery start, battery cutoff, built in trickle charger, 50 and 30 amp connections, and dual fuel (gas & propane). The 50 amp plug fits the cord we plug into the 50 amp transfer switch. The 30 amp receptical fits our RV cord. It has all the other features that come on generators this size, but the 3year warranty and great price sold us on it

I purchased this on 5-19-2026 because my current generator would not longer run. It was easy to finish assembling it and after adding gasoline, it started up immediately on pushing the start button. I did not have to run it for very long as the power company got my power back on. However, I'm sure that since it started up immediately right out of the box that I will not have any issues the next time I need to use it.

The first one we received was damaged and it took some time to get a replacement. Unfortunately I had to email multiple times the manufacturer to get this moving. The replacement then lost the lock for the handle with the first usage. Hope it will work when the first snowstorm comes.

Haven't actually used it yet for what it is intended for, but have gone through initial testing. It is really a lot of generator for the money. The only question not answered is longevity. I have an old Honda from the 80s with probably 2,000 hours on it, still works great. Hope i can say the same about this one some day. The remote start works from about 70' away if line of sight. I really like the automatic start, if it doesn't start first try, it keeps trying by itself. It also has automatic electric choke, so it is a true push button start. No downsides to this generator that i have yet found. I have had many generators over many years, and this one is promising to be the best yet of all of the gasoline models. I have a diesel genset that works wonderfully, and is much better quality than this one, but i can buy 6 of these westinghouse gassers for the price of the diesel.

We bought it after a 4 day power outage in June, and had to use it last weekend due to another overnight outage. We got it out of the box and set up in about 30 min. Worked great all night. The full tank of gas lasted about 12 hours. We had a window unit, a light, a fridge, and a freezer connected, no problem at all. The unit is very heavy so you need 2 people to install the wheels and the feet but after that it's easy to move by one person. I'd recommend it 100%.
