I received the Westinghouse 9,500/12,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Generator on December 21, 2022. On the day of a bad storm this summer was the first time I needed to use it. It would run but not generate power. It took several calls with different agents to get a repair code for repair shop. Once at the shop the parts took several weeks. Repair shop calls and said it still doesn't generate power. Currently waiting on a new generator to be delivered. Warranty works once you get someone on the phone who knows what to do. I chose the generator by the good reviews.

I purchased 2 of these, the first one appears to be working great. It has good features and started right up. the second one is DOA. I have contacted support and tier 1 was very friendly and easy to work with. they were not able to fix the issue, and have elevated it. So we will see hoe the process continues.

I just received this generator yesterday, and have not actually tried to start it up/use it yet - I will update this review when I have had a chance to evaluate how it is working. Arrived with some oil having soaked thru the bottom of the box, and oil was coating the support frame under the battery, but I could not see or fell any oil leaking from the oil tank or anywhere else, so not sure where it came from or whether significant or not. On initial inspection, the generator appears all in good shape, with no parts or accessories missing. The wheels and frame supports were easily installed. I intend to fire it up in the next day or so. Have to wait for 6 weeks or so before I can hook it up to the house (the soonest we can get an electrician to install a plug-in/transfer switch to the side of the house.

I bought this as my old generator is 20 years & we are in hurricane country. We usually loose power 4 to 5 times a year. And it can be out up to 2 weeks depending how severe the storms are.. we live in a rural area.. when I ran for 24 hrs it was quieter and 20 lp tank lasted 12

We had an ice storm a year ago, and I made the decision to have a transfer switch installed and then went through the complicated process for deciding exactly which generator to run when it hit the fan. After a lot of research, we came up with this model a WGEN 9500 DFC. It has enough voltage to run just about everything I need with ease, startup was quite simple for someone who had never used one before so I would definitely recommend this unit if you have the money to spare.

I bought this to be able to have options for the fuel we use when using the generator. If we know the electric outage is short term we can just hook up the propane without having to worry about filling it with gas then having to drain it!! Love this feature. I’m

Just received. Loved the easy setup. It has an impressive variety of features and should handle all my emergency needs. Looks well built and all the controls are intuitive and easy to operate. Capacitywise it has all that I need. Although I bought for emergency use, it would probably adequate for contractor use. Glad it has many safety features.

I install one of the 9500DF's at my brother's house a year ago and I helped him get it working on 3 fusels (natural gas, gasoline and propane) just a little extra work. The only thing I don't like is doing the wiring. It worked so well that I broke down and bought one for my own home.

Purchased it for the future to power our home with all the crazy storms these days. Arrived in perfect condition and easy setup and startup. Little did I know I'd need it two days later. Lost power for 18 hours and the generator performed flawlessly.

First Impressions of the unit are positive. The wattage size and features at the price point are very competitive in the market. Setup and initial start-up was a breeze and straight forward. Initially started up on propane and with electric start, and started first time turning over. Checked voltage and ran a saw with no issues. I have given it 4 stars as i wish the wheels were a little heavier duty with rims and tires instead of plastic with bearings. Also wish the battery tender cable was 2 or 3 times longer (only about 5 ft), but a bonus they even include this as other units I was looking at didn't. The charger also shows a green light if not connect to anything, so if it stops working internally or at generator circuity, you'll never know! I thought the remote start was a little gimmicky, but to be honest, its nice to not have to be right next to the unit to start it!
