Have only started on propane to test it. Started right up, I hope I never have to use it, but am glad to have it. I needed this size to run the "whole" house in an emergency, but wanted dual fuel capability so as to not have to keep gas in it for long periods of time.

We just had our generator delivered today, the day hurricane Laura hit! We are so pleased to have it during the storm. The most important feature to us is that it runs on gasoline and also on propane. When we need to use a generator, we have other issues so it will be nice to have an option of 2 different fuels.

Had my WGen9500dfc for about 18 months. Never had to use it for emergency. Tested it periodically and never had an issue. Tested it ahead of HELENE and it didn’t start. A week later I’m emailing with the support folks. Was told the run/stop switch needs to be replaced. Hope that does the trick. Not feeling confident that my family can rely on it in a pinch now.

I purchased this unit in case of power outages during severe weather. The unit has tested out fine with no issues. The setup was easy and came with everything needed. I would like to add a switch to the house instead of using cords but that will be another project for later.

Everything I expected and more!!! The only issue was the delivery. The box was roughed up a bit causing some scratches to the frame. It was raining when delivered and it was left hanging off the covered porch and got soaked. They even took a picture showing it was raining. So when I went to move it the cardboard was totally mushed. I had to open it right where it sat. Basically, I had to peel it open like a banana.

Westinghouse 9500DF generators i need a bigger generator for years when power goes out,they had what i needed at a great price, its well build ,like the dual fuel ,you can't go wrong with this generator !! It runs great on both fuel and gas with easy change switch !! you need to buy one .

I bought this a week ago and received it in couple of days. It has plenty of options and it delivers exactly what I needed. I installed on my backyard and was a 20 minutes job to install it and make a test run. I did not use it yet at his full power as we did not have any power outage but the test worked perfectly and the generator was able to hold my appliances and lights/outlets without any problem. Once I will use it into a real power outage I will come back with more details. The generator is very well built and you can see at the first glance that is not a cheap one.

Ran consistently great but started having trouble starting in December and finally would not start in mid January. Covered with warranty, was worked on by approved shop, ended up getting new generator. Very satisfied with purchase especially the dual filter feature.

I picked up my Westinghouse WGen 12500/9500 yesterday from Family Farm And Home. After unboxing, it was very simple to put together. After adding oil and midgrade gas, turned fuel shutoff to open, pushed the start button and it started immediately. Ran it for 5 hours, then changed the oil as recommended by Westinghouse. Now I'm waiting for the power to go out. I know quite a few people that have this same generator and us it for home backup and love it. It will run their whole home with no problem.

We've been having alot of power outages lately due to weather and falling trees. Wife was finally fed up and to avoid sleeping in the shop, we purchased this as a home backup generator. We have a small 1500 sqf house, added an interlock switch, and good to go. When I ran the generator for its break in period it fired up on the first push of the start button without fail. Once the break in period was done, I went ahead and changed the oil even though it didn't need it. We connected it to the house switched over to generator power and slowly started turning on breakers. This machine performed flawlessly. I don't want another power outage, but we are ready for the next one.
