I did a lot of online research before ordering this generator. After receiving it, I can see why it's top rated! You get a lot of bells-n-whistles for the money - both gasoline (I use ethanol free) or propane powered, battery starting using key fob, trickle charger for battery included, 30 and 50A twist locks for power out (I am using for a whole house generator), wheel and handle kit included, multi-display meter on panel for monitoring voltage output, hours, etc. My electrician hooked it up and it powered the house like a champ. For me, this unit has everything I was looking for and more!

This thing purrs like mountain lion not a kitten so on a noise level it’s nowhere near as loud as most other portable generators. You can tell it’s well made and it’s comes with a key fob with an electric starter also equipped with manual start. I have the option of running off of propane or fuel. If you need a generator and don’t want spend ridiculous money, buy this!!My home is 2100 sq ft I can run my entire house minus dish washer/washing machine and dryer.

I bought this generator in the aftermath of hurricane Beryl to power my home. Brought it home, added the oil, connected the battery and fuel (LPG), and just like that I was up and running. It started up right away and went to work. I have to get some electrical work done before I can try to run my central AC with this but I have confidence it will be up to the task!

I am still in the initial 5 hour break in process so I have not put a heavy load on the generator yet but here are my thoughts so far. 1. Assembly was really straight forward and easy, two wheels, two feet, and add the oil and fuel. 2. The generator took a bit to get started the first time but has been easy to start since. 3. I have manually started, easy to pull, used the remote, which was already synched, and used the push button. 4. Power output seems consistent and clean, I powered my compressor, refrigerator, and space heater, not all at once, to vary the load and it handled it all just fine and the equipment seemed to run fine on the generator power. 5. It is not light but rolls around very easily even in the grass. 6. My only "complaint" is that it is fairly loud. It is a good sized generator but I was hoping it was a bit more quiet.

This item was a Christmas gift from my wife. I had not unpacked it until a few days ago due to bad weather here in San Antonio. We experienced power outage and I was able to power 3 appliances including lighting. Generator did a great job keeping power to these items while using propane. I will truly recommend this item.

Following extended power outages during Hurricane Beryl I ordered the WGen9500DFc generator. Although I had a traditional generator that kept our refrigerators going after the first couple of days buying fuel became a problem. The gas stations couldn't run their pumps and I was running low on gasoline. The 9500DFc was an easy choice because a 14 or 30 lb propane tank (or two) would keep me running when gasoline supplies are cut off. I received the generator and immediately put the wheels and feet on and fueled it up, and put the quart of included engine oil in it. After connecting the battery cables I hit the remote start switch and it fired right up. Runs like a charm and Im looking forward to many years of great service from this Westinghouse project. After all they've been making electric equipment for decades and have earned a great deal of trust as an American instituion. I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

Bought 2 of these generators (New) on line. Both start and run great but neither will generate any power at the receptacles. I was informed that both had probably been sitting in a warehouse for while and the AVR (automatic voltage regulator) had lost it's magnetism. I went online to the Westinghouse parts department to order them, Only to find out that the AVR's I need are sold out. (I wonder why?) P.S. I'm not even sure if this is the problem yet.

The entire purchase process was smooth, helpful and professional, from speaking with a representative on the phone, to ordering on-line, to receiving emails and phone calls related to shipping, to receiving the product at my residence in a timely manner. I found the generator to be well packaged and undamaged. The little bit of assembly was easy using the supplied instruction manual and, once completed, the generator started right up. I'm very pleased with not only the product, but the purchasing experience as well.

I simply love it! Started on first attempt with remote, push button, and manual pull start. Packed for shipping in today's environment. Not as loud as I thought it would be...this machine even takes itself off choke, once it's started. Simply perfect!!!

I have owned other generators in the past but this is by far the nicest one yet . It has 2 services ( 30 amp and 50 amp ) which makes it great for RV or Home use as well as receptacles for worksite use . The electric start is great but the Remote start is a bonus and very easy to set up . I recommend the Wgen 9500 DF for any purpose .
