Pros: * Easy setup and works as advertised * Transfer from propane use to gas is easy * fuel gauge up top can let you know approximately how much gas is left in the tank * wheels and lift handle are great to move the generator out before powering it on * build quality seems solid Cons: * really noisy (which is to be expected which a 12kW unit). We powered it down at night otherwise it'd be a nuisance * Some parts came loose during first operation. I'm guessing some fittings weren't tight enough and the vibration got them loose: the two feet (opposite of the wheels) as well as the cover to the air filter. **make sure you tighten everything before first operation** * plastic housing of battery arrived broken. It isn't well protected for shipping I guess. This doesn't effect operation much... Overall, very satisfied with this generator and we're using it to power the whole house: well pump and filtration, fridge, some lights, gas appliances (sparkers for house furnace, water heater, stovetops), lights, and other appliances.

After much research I finally bought the generator I feel will suite my needs the next time the power is interrupted in my neighbor hood. The WGen9500DF has all the features that I was looking for, Dual Fuel, Gas and Propane, 12500 peak watts, enough to allow me to run most everything in my home.Electric start, with a pull start backup is nice to have.The convenience of the remote start for my wife if I am not home or just don't want to go out into the weather. The comfort of the Westinghouse Brand name. I have owned this generator only for a short amount of time but feel great about my purchase.

Just purchased, took me 15 minutes to set up and test run on propane. This will be plumbed for Natural Gas shortly, and become my homes backup power source. Just based on how easy it was to set up, I have high confidence in its ability to keep my home and shop running.

I just bought this generator for the winter months. My neighbor recommended it to me because it powered his whole house during the power outage last winter. It has worked perfectly fine for him and it has been working perfectly fine for me. The remote start feature as well as the option to switch to propane are so convenient to have!

I purchased this last week and was delivered on time. packaging was good and all items were in excellent shape: Oil and even the oil funnel. Came with all the necessary tools for assembly. Assembly was quick and easy. I used propane and all hoses were included with the package. Used the remote start and clicked the button from 10 ft from the unit. Started immediately and ran it for about 10 minutes while testing various appliances without a problem.

My son and I both purchased the same generator model after researching all the brands. We both like the dual fuel flexibility, the push button starting and the other features and the many positive reviews. The push-button start is what at first sold me on this unit since my previous generator was pull start and at my age it was getting difficult. It was shipped on a pallet and very well protect in a box. Installation is so simple that it took me less than 15 minutes, all you have to do is install the wheels, the feet and the included oil to the engine. My second favorite option is the dual fuel flexibility, we live in a hurricane prone area and having this flexibility is very important. The unit is very easy to move even for an older person like me, I'm sure that the wheel 10 inch size helps, my previous generator was lighter but had smaller wheels and felt much more difficult to move. The control panel is very complete and accessible. Runs very smoothly. I highly recommend this generator.

I was some apprehensive about purchasing a portable generator for my home much more so a dual fuel model. I found that the WGen9500DFc set up was easy. The remote and electric start work flawlessly. This beast of a model has some weight to it. I’m very impressed.

Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Easy, minor assembly and no surprises. Strait forward removal of neutral ground bond wire for powering main breaker panel. Easy earth ground rod attachment. Started 1st try with remote or panel button. Worked on gasoline and propane. Excellent features.

Just delivered. Exactly the size and mobility I was looking for...and assembly was no problem. Do not want to face another freeze or storm without this capability! Looking forward to use for routine/fun events and for backup (kind of) when necessary.

I bought a Westinghouse generator a few weeks ago and luckily haven't had to use it....yet. It has an easy way to quick start it. I also love that it uses propane but can use gasoline as a back up. It should also not require a lot of maintenance. I have a transfer switch that is outside my house but with the big wheels I can easily roll it into the garage when not in use.
