So far I am very happy with this purchase. I can tell immediately it is made with quality and the price is very competitive. I love that it can run on both gasoline and propane and you can easily switch between the two different fuels while the generator is running. Also, it is much quieter than I was expecting. Nice job to the Westinghouse team on this design!

This has been the perfect addition to our house. I immediately hooked it up to a 100 pound propane tank, added oil and it fired right up. Easy to set up the remote start. After high put some time on the running motor I will flip the breaker and see how well it run to my house.

From packaging through assembly and features it is apparent that this product was given some thought. Details like flanged bolts for attachment of the stationary legs to the inclusion of a battery charger made me feel good about my purchase. I live in an area of frequent utility power interruptions and need a dependable alternative power source. Time will tell as to long term reliability but we are off to a good start.

Only had it for a week but I know this thing is going to come in handy for a decade. It is very sturdy, well built, and much quieter than I expected. I thought my favorite part would be the dual fuel option but i love the remote start from inside the house. Awesome product!

I upgraded from an old generator that I converted to tri fuel that just doesnt have enough power to backup my whole house, and what an upgrade this is. Easy to setup, started using the propane with remote start on first attempt, tons of features and the power output is fantastic. Really looks and operates like a next gen product compared to the traditional style gas generator. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking at having a real home backup power solution but that doesnt want to install a traditional fixed in place type solution.

I just received my new generator and I am impressed by the dual fuel options. More important it is so easy to start with the remote or the push button. While you still have the option to pull start, it is awesome that you do not have to. I am going to purchase another for my mom.

I have only had this a few days, it was packaged well, comes with oil, tool kit, great owner's manual and assembly was minimal and very easy (helps to have an extra pair of hands though to tilt it up enough to install the wheel and foot on each side). Auto Start/Stop button works well, remote is a great feature, digital display is a plus and the fold up/down handle is great for moving it around. I have only started it on propane and it starts a little hard but after one full start cycle it starts on the second try of the second start cycle and runs as expected.

Bought due to all the power outages we've experienced over the years due to storms, cars crashing into poles (with transformers), etc. Had a transfer switch wired in by electrician, so I can power all essential circuits of the house without putting linemen in danger. Hurricane Iaissia coming this week, so we'll see how my plan works out.

I bought this to replace a six month old Champion 7500W Dual Fuel that kept abruptly shutting off. This Westinghouse 9500DF Dual Fuel has a better frame, better fill port, remote start/stop, seems to be quieter, has auto choke. It is a solid product!! I should've bought this one first.

Purchased after tropical storm Isaias last August. Lost power for 3 days. I have 3 teenagers with big appetites and of course we lost all the food in the refrigerator and separate freezer. Had trees down and felt gross when I went to bed after working outside and then not being able to shower. I told my wife 'never again' and set about finding a portable generator. Knew I wanted to use propane and wanted a direct hookup to the breaker panel via the L14 30R outlet. I was going for the 7500DF but my electrician said I should go with the 9500DF in case I needed heat in the winter (we have electric heat). There doesn't seem to be much more fuel usage as they both use the same engine. I ordered on 10/21 and the generator arrived on 11/11 undamaged. I put on the wheels and mounting feet after tipping the unit on its side. Do this carefully with 2 people as it's a heavy unit. Added the oil that came with the generator but had to buy more and added about another 1/4 quart to bring the level 1/2 way up the hatch marks on the dipstick. Maybe this is just my anomaly but I didn't want to start the unit with the level showing below the 'L' on the dipstick. The unit came with the battery cables already hooked to the battery so all I had to do was complete a quick connect tied together just above the dipstick. I was pleased. Hooked up my 20lb barbecue tank, pressed the start button and after about 3 revolutions started right up and ran smoothly. I was going to buy 3 30lb tanks to handle about 3 days of running but the manual says it can be hooked up to bigger house tanks which I have. This must be done by a plumber knowledgeable with this type of conversion as line pressures are very important. My electrician said that he personally liked the Westinghouse so that made me feel I made the right choice. So far so good. I have confidence it will perform well when needed.
