This generator is big enough to power my entire house. Love the remote start feature along with the push button start. Installed wheels, added oil and gas, pushed remote start and it started right up. No longer need to pull a cord to start. So much easier.

We haven't needed to use this generator yet but really needed it during last years hurricane Ian. Neither my husband nor I had the physical strength to start our old generator with the pull rope. Unfortunately we were without power for a day without a generator. We decided that we wanted something that, with a push of a button would start up. This led me to the Westinghouse brand generators. We were pleasantly surprised to find not only a push button start generator but this also came with a remote control!! This is a blessing for us who are nearing 70 years of age. We also chose the model that is also a dual fueled model....propane and/or gas. Usually during a hurricane, it's difficult to find gasoline so we thought we'd like the option to use whatever is available after a hurricane.

The delivery was a little confusing but once it got here I can't say I was dissapointed. I don't plan on there being any power outages anytime soon but thus far what I have tested on it runs fine. I'm not used to having a generator around the house so it is a peace of mind that I have currently.

I survived Hurricane Irma but was without power for 8 days in the Florida heat. Now I am whole house ready for the next time! Easy to assemble and start up and the dual fuel capability allows me to stock propane and not worry about finding gas during a hurricane. Very pleased with this generator and would recommend it to others.

My neighbor had recommended this generator to me, as we've had a number of power outages in the couple years, one lasting 4 hours. I've now got it wired up to two banks of circuit transfer switches, and it works great. I can even run the A/C! While I haven't hooked up the propane yet, I'm glad I have that feature to potentially run the generator as long as I have it in my household tank. I will note that this in not a quiet machine. But, with the windows closed it's not too noticable. And, the power must not be quite as clean as from the grid. I can hear the computer UPS clicking often as various appliances cycle (i.e., the refrigerators, furnace, etc.). But, it does the job well and I'm very happy to be ready for the next power outage!

Arrived as scheduled, packaged well with no dents or scratches. Currently breaking it in….added the included oil, connected the L P tank, pushed the button and it fired right up. Appears to be well built and is solid. Has all the features I was looking for, with a price tag that did not result in stroke! Will be connecting it to the 50 amp connection I just had professionally installed and should run everything I will need if we experience a lengthy outage.

Everything works. I tested it out today, using propane. The electronic starter works great. It takes three times to get started, but it knows enough to automatically repeat the 2 last times, and get the engine started. Even after it had been warmed up, it still takes 3 starts. The remote start key fob works perfectly as well to start and stop the engine. Straight from the factory, the lithium-ion battery has enough joules to start the motor. After the test, I charged up the battery using the included charger. When the light on the charger changes from red to green, the battery is charged up. I am very pleased with the purchase. Now I have peace of mind in case of another deadly Texas winter freeze (as in Feb. 2021).

Bought this on 8/19/21 .Out of the box just had to install wheels and add oil. About 15 minutes. Charged the battery up for about an hour. Added some gas and pushed the start button and started right up and ran smooth. I bought this one to work with a manual transfer switch. Will add another review when I lose power and put it to the test. I believe this is just what I need.

I bought this several weeks ago to replace my current generator. After researching and reading up I decided to go with this Westinghouse WGen9500DF. I liked the fact that it had a dual fuel feature. Gas or propane. Since I already have a large propane tank for my hot tub I had another line run for me to hook up the generator. Having gone through the hurricane last year we were without power for several hours. Many of my neighbors were without for several days. At least with this Westinghouse9500 I will be able to keep the important things up and running. Especially the well and the sump pumps. refrigerators and such. I also liked the fact the unit has a remote start feature. No need to pull the cord to start it up. I liked the info that came with it as well. And putting it together (wheels & foot pads) were no problem. It included the wrench to put them on. I feel I bought a quality generator that will work well for me and my home when the time comes.
