Received this generator a few months ago, the directions and assembly guides were easy to follow and setup was a breeze. The generator started right up in all three functions, instructions were very simple. Using propane to operate this unit is very safe and less of pain to use the fuel tank. Dual fuel operation makes it way easier to use. Had a transfer switch professionally installed on the house and connected the generator to ensure it would run essential appliances during a power outage, and it was successful. Both the house and the generator performed as expected. I feel confident that this unit will provide the power needed to keep us safe for future storms to come. I would definitely recommend this unit to all of my friends and family members . PROS:The generator performed well with no problems. Started up with little to no issues. House appliances operated efficiently with zero to no affects on the generator. Start up and assembly guides were easy to follow and setup. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase - CONS:Did not attempt to turn on the house HVAC system due to concerns that it may put unnecessary loads on the generator.

I was actually amazed how easy and fast the the setup was. It started up on the first try and delivered the power as expected according to the specs. My most difficult part was determining the appropriate oil amount to be added. As I further examined the manual I did see the oil tank size was 1.6 quarts and oil container provided was also 1.6 quarts. So it didn't take a rocket scientist to know the entire oil container should be used. I'm 86 yrs old and un crated the 200 lb generator myself and also attached the wheels etc. I have only used propane so far and don't know if I'll ever use gasoline. I did evaluate other generators and am glad I selected the 9500DF.

Generator has great features, push button/remote start. plenty of plugs, dual fuel, nice substantial tires. nice lift handle, moves around with ease. I can't wait to start and use it. Was delivered well before they projected date. I'm pleased so far - I do recommend - will leave another review after using for some time.

This generator replaced a smaller one I bought during the ice storm of 2008. I have a sump pump to keep my cellar dry. If my furnace, well pump and sump pump were all running at the same time and I had one too many lights on the generator would trip and I would have to go outside and reset. With this new generator I don't have that worry anymore. Great product!

We bought this unit in February. We have a 1300 sq foot cabin in a remote area where power outage is common. I have had several occasions to test it out. It has performed flawlessly. We have a 30 amp plug outside the house for a camper hookup. We use that to back feed the house breaker panel. When the power goes out, we shut down the main, shut off the hot water heater and dryer, and turn on the 30 amp from the generator. It runs everything else in the cabin with no issue. Including the well pump, and the 2 ton geothermal heat pump. I was hauling the generator from the tractor shed with each outage, but just retrofit a sun cast shed just for the generator, complete with sound insulation, vent fan and exhaust extension. I also ran a direct line from the cabin’s propane tank which we use for the gas logs and grill. No more hauling the generator, no more hauling gas, and it is MUCH quieter. I just flip the run switch to ON and press the start button. My wife is comfortable doing it on her own. I do wish I could use the remote button to start the unit. Then I wouldn’t need to go outside at all. But to use the remote start button, you first have to go outside to turn on the run switch. Kind of defeats the purpose of the remote start button. I called Westinghouse to ask about leaving the run switch on permanently, but they said it powered up 6 different components and would damage the unit if I left it on. Anyway, I am very happy with the 9500df. Lots of power. Starts every time. Dual fuel is a great plus.

Purchased this from a local electrician to rely upon during power outages. Electric start Panel has failed - light does not come on despite charged battery, button doesn't work. Westinghouse says my electrician is not an authorized reseller and therefore I have no warranty claim. I have no faith in Westinghouse as a company now as they don't stand by their product, they just try to worm out of supporting it. Disgusted.

I just purchased this generator June 22, 24. We live near Matagorda TX where Hurricane Beryl hit on July 8, 24. We are SOO please w this generator. We ran it on propane. We had lights, water well, AC (we do have a soft start unit). No problem pulling all that at all. We have an electric dryer and that is the only thing it would not pull. We used it 7 days. It was awesome.

Bought this base on my friend's recommendation and I have to say, this is generator is awesome. They could of done a better job on the boxing design. There was no way anyone can lift that out of the box, pretty much have to destroy the box by cutting open the box on all 4 corners. The product it self is great. Start right up, so far its working as expected. As far as stability, will have to update later.

Just received this gen last week and used it during a resent 3 day power outage to keep our freezer and refrigerator. Ran it on 20 # propane bottles. Unit started immediately and ran smoothly for many hours. Currently very satisfied but only have very limited usage.

Bought this generator after loosing power 3 times in 2 months and couldn't be happier with this product. The generator runs well on both propane and gas(ethanol free recommended) and the switch is nothing more than a flip of the switch. Doesn't bog down under standard load and not excessively loud. Would definitely recommend for someone who wants the versatility of the dual fuel.
