Great Product, 5 Star Rating

Just pickup the generator model WGen9500Fc. Unboxing and setting up was very easy per the instruction booklet. Used propane for the fuel source and it started 1st try. Ran 1 chest freezer on the generator and it ran effortlessly, Great Product very glad I got this one.

Great remote start

I bought this genset May 22. I did a test start and everything worked great 110 240 are good. I ran it for 30 min with a lawn mower, halogen lights and a fan. All worked great. Easy assembly, it started up on propane and ran great. I will probably never put gasoline in unless I need all its power

Excellent Dual Fuel Generator

This is the luxury version of a portable generator that can keep your power going after a storm. Love the dual fuel aspect (gas and propane). You have the choice of a remote key fob start, push button or hand pull start. Plenty of power any way you go. I had it tied into my electric panel with an interlock system so I can choose what breakers to use during major outages.

Dual Fuel reliability

YES!! Dual Fuel!!!!!!!! I purchased this with the peace of mind knowing that I can use GASOLINE or PROPANE. I KEEP 15 gallons of gasoline on hand and 3 20 pound propane tanks. I live In Michigan and the infrastructure with DTE is HORRIBLE we lose power 3-4 times a year. It powers my entire 2200 sq. ft. home and AC unit with all LED lights, and l have a pool. Why I waited until my kids were older I don’t know!! I no longer have to zip tie the refrigerator door handles…100% peace of mind. I chose the portable in case/when we move it goes with us. The moving handle is easy to use. I’m strong and by myself I can lift it up 1 8” step and 1 4” and 6” step, a small block ramp would make it easier. Shoes nicely in the garage under my bench. Hook up is easy. Push button, pull start or Key Fob. Also Westinghouse uses a CAST IRON ENGINE block which made me choose it, Heavy Duty motors last way longer than others. Full Synthetic oil is all I’ll ever use, good maintenance schedule and care. This generator will go to my kids one day.

WGEN9500DF - Great choice

We live in SWFL and were here for Hurricane Irma in 2017 which was a high Cat 3, low Cat 4 hurricane. We lost power for 5 days. We decided to by a generator and after extensive research and reading reviews, we got the 9500 Dual Fuel portable generator. With this generator we can run our whole house A/C along with 2 refrigerators and most of the house. When we had the wiring done, the electrician wanted to do a test run. I did not want to put gas in the unit in case we did not use it right away, so we hooked up the 5 gal propane tank off our gas grill. We pushed the start button and it started immediately - first time it had been started. This machine has gotten very good reviews and is extremely well built. The unit came well packed, with a remote start fob and the hose to connect a propane tank. To run either gas or propane, all it takes is a flip of a switch. Very happy.

Sturdy Unit

The WGen9500DF seems to be a very sturdy unit. A friend has a WGen8500DF and has run it on both gas and propane to power his well and heat in his well house with great success. I intend to use my 9500 during power outages for temporary whole house power.

Heavy generator with sensitive GFI

bought this generator to run a refrigerator in the event of power service interruption. The generator is significantly overpowered for this task but every time the compressor on the refrigerator would kick on the GFI would interrupt the circuit. The work around was to buy a fitting for the 4-prong 30-amp plug which doesn't have a GFI. features that I like are: the start/remote start, clean running, smooth running. It was very easy to setup. I look forward to trying it on propane but I have not used that fuel yet. It is very heavy.

Stop debating & buy it !!

Comes with everything you need to get going ! ( Oil , Funnel, wrenches, battery charger, propane hose ) cranked right up first try & runs great. Having 50/30/20 amp outlets means this thing can do whatever you throw at it ! No regrets with my purchase , you won't either.. stop looking & add to your cart !

Top of the line

Being a disabled Veteran, it was seriously hard to get my previous generator started by the pull cord. I needed an electric start. I ordered a when 9500DF and have no issues at all. Plenty of power for RV and my home. The electric start saved my back and many headaches. The overall quality is truly top notch!

Out of the box seems very solid and very well made

I just purchased it so I have not yet had an opportunity to use it during a power outage but the generator started right up in both gas and propane mode. It is heavy but very solidly built. When running it, it was actually a bit quieter than I expected for its size and capacity. I would have to agree with a number of other reviews that I previously read that the plastic wheels might need to eventually be replaced. So far I am very impressed.
