We haven't needed to use this generator yet but really needed it during last years hurricane Ian. Neither my husband nor I had the physical strength to start our old generator with the pull rope. Unfortunately we were without power for a day without a generator. We decided that we wanted something that, with a push of a button would start up. This led me to the Westinghouse brand generators. We were pleasantly surprised to find not only a push button start generator but this also came with a remote control!! This is a blessing for us who are nearing 70 years of age. We also chose the model that is also a dual fueled model....propane and/or gas. Usually during a hurricane, it's difficult to find gasoline so we thought we'd like the option to use whatever is available after a hurricane.

Don't until there is an emergency to get prepared. NOW is the time to prepare! This unit will help keep my family safe and comfortable during emergency power outages. It is powered by either gasoline or propane. Gasoline has about a 1 year shelf life. Propane is virtually unlimited in life. Flexibility is very important!

I ordered a whole House generator in April and it hasn't arrived yet. Going into winter, I decided to get a portable for emergencies. With all the power on this unit, I wish I hadn't bought the whole house unit. This will handle all of my needs at a fraction of the price.

This is my 2nd one. I loaned my old one out after the storm to a friend in Galveston. It ran my entire 2400 Sq Ft. home w/5 ton a/c/ after hurrican Beryl. I know of at least 5 people that have seen mine and purchased them prior to the storm. Now all most everyone on my block has ordered one. Do not wait till you need one and the power is out. I bought this generator in April of 1923 the first generator was leaking oil and that box was damages I called costumer service and they took care of my problem. Now I am getting ready for huracanes session I just took it out box today it look great the user manual is easy to read I have to wait too see how this generator preformed under real conditions

We searched on the internet and we thought that this model had the most competitive price for the features offered. It is very convenient to be able to use either propane gas or gasoline to power the generator. The service was also good and the product arrived when it was promised.

I lost power for 2 days and I needed to borrow a generator from a freind. It happened to be a Westinghouse WGen9500DF. I loved it so much I purchased one for myself. I really liked the dual fuel option most. I do not know how often I'll use it, but I'm sure glad I have it.

My home is above 8000 feet of altitude. That requires replacement of fuel system parts for efficient operation on gasoline or propane. Working with the Service Hotline to get the right parts took several days. Email was the best way to get the part numbers. The generator runs well at high altitude.
