Just received. Easy to assemble and started right up with remote. Definitely a step up from other generators I've owned. Louder than I expected or wanted but I'm keeping it. Would definitely recommend hearing protection when standing within 20 feet of it.

We bought this in May and just unboxed and fired it up as Elsa was on it's way up the West Coast of Fl and we thought we might need to use it. We lose power often around this time of year. We were surprised at how quietly it ran. This is a powerful generator, runs off both gas or propane. Very excited with this purchase.

I just received my new generator and I am very pleased with my purchase. This thing is built like a tank! I did a lot of research before purchasing the generator, and saw plenty of less expensive options, however none could match the quality, adaptability (dual fuel) , and affordability of this model. It was difficult to find one available for purchase, but after our last power outages I didn't want to be caught off guard again. I'm very pleased one became available.

Purchased due to a major power loose, hurricane Buryl in July 2024. We ran the generator for 20 hours with no load AC voltage @ 121.7, connected refrigerator voltage drop to 121.5 volts. We are in the process of puchasing a one room air conditioner , we have very high humidity where we live, north of Houston . We had power loose on May 25,26 2025 for 11 hours. Started generator connected 2 refrigerators, satellite receiver and tv. The generator ran flawlessly.

Well packaged. Arrived undamaged and ready to work. Only minor complaint is the nuts welded to frame for installing the mounting feet weren't aligned perfectly with the holes. Snapped one of these nuts off tightening the bolt and ended up using a separate nut and lock washer. Had to slightly file down the other holes to prevent the other nuts from snapping off.

I did lots of research before buying and am so glad I decided on this brand and model, love the remote start and display for needed service , easy set up and starting , love that it has its own battery trickle charger , I use for home back up and can even charge my electric car during a power outage !

Build quality- excellent, do not see parts that look easy to break or fail. Features- better than most competitors and everything we need. Simple & easy to operate, even starts with a Key Fob. Add the optional ST Switch and it's a smart automatic back-up system- it works perfectly. We use the ST Switch for 1 freezer and 1 refrigerator in the garage with power to spare. I have run almost 7000 watts (from 10ga extension cords) in testing and the 9500DF had no problem on LP gas. We use natural gas for heating and cooking, so the 9500DF will have all our electrical concerns covered including a 10,000 btu backup window AC unit during the TX rolling blackouts. I will not be installing the 50 amp output to the breaker panel in this house, we're moving soon and will invest in a whole-house transfer switch then. Originally considered the 7500DF, but my budget allowed me the upgrade to the 9500DF with the ST Transfer switch. I do know the unit can power a 4 ton A/C unit, so I'm very confident we made the right choice. I have 40 years of professional electronic & electrical experience and the WGen9500DF is everything I wanted in features and build quality. Very satisfied with the value of the Westinghouse product. Perfect choice.

I bought this last month and it has absolutely been worth it. The set up was simple and the instructions were laid out very well. The generator started up right away, and functioned exactly as promised. Switching between gas and propane was very simple and worked smoothly. I used the remote start and had no issues. The switches and plugs are very easy to read and are functional. I highly recommend this generator.

I bought this piece of equipment as an emergency power back-up for my home for the event of power outages due to storms. The unit is easy to setup and to connect to lpg. It has a remote electric start which is a big plus, and easy to convert from LPG to Gasoline with just a flip of a switch. Love this unit so far.

Haven’t had to use it yet for an emergency but starts and runs easily. Also handle attached makes it easy to move. Haven’t run it on propane yet but the instructions are simple enough and should be an easy switch. I plan to hook it to a disconnect on the house to power essential appliances and a few lights during a power outage.
