Purchased this unit at the recommendation of my electrician to be connected to a transfer switch in the event our power goes out. I live in Florida and it's part of my hurricane preparedness for our new villa. Assembly was quite simple. One small issue was one bolt that attaches the vibration leg was crossed threaded but that was quickly corrected. Followed the instructions hooking up battery, adding oil (which is a plus they provided in the box) using the supplied funnel (that was easy with the funnel provided). Attached the propane tank, turned on the switches and hit the start button twice. It fired right up and ran smoothly. After running for about 5 minutes I plugged in some electric tools and everything performed as expected. Turned off unit and restarted using the remote, hit the start button twice (as instructed) and the generator again came to life. So far I'm pleased with my purchase. Like the wheels, remote/elec start, the fold down wheelbarrow type handle and the available outlets.

I purchased this generator 2 weeks ago. I haven't needed to use it, however I was extremely impressed with the amount of ease it took to get ready. Instructions were simple and very easy to understand. It immediately started without any hesitation. Hurricanes and loss of power are not uncommon where I live. I am very pleased with this product and believe it will be more than adequate when it it comes time to use.

I bought this a few days ago and have been reading and checking out the features. This is a Westinghouse Dual Fuel generator. Not only dual fuel but it has battery and electric start. The fob allows remote start and stop. The generator has access for automatic start and stop which I have ordered to set this feature in case of another hurricane power outage. The generator has high output wattage and numerous outlet types.

Westinghouse WGen9500DF is a very nice generator with all the bells and whistles. Dual fuel and remote start! I needed help to get it started the first time and the customer service line had me running in a couple minutes. It is a great product with great support.

I have not had an opportunity to use this generator yet. It looks like it should do the job but I was surprised that a 12,500 W geinerator was limited on propane to 35 amp on gasoline it’s limited to 40 amps According to the literature that came with the generator. As for the next question – would you recommend this product to a friend – I just don’t know yet but I’m going to say yes. It was a great price and a three year warranty. I also have to submit this review in order to get a free generator cover.

The generator is awesome with the remote start feature and the electric push to start control. There are many issues online about the difficulty to start for the first time,make sure the oil is full and prime the oil pressure, also use a little starting fluid spray in the carb as the fuel system is gravity fed and needs a little assistance on the first start up.

Recently purchased after hurricane and snow storm to not have to worry about going powerless again. Very easy to put together and after adding oil and gas it fired right up. So far very pleased with this product. Love the electric start for the wife.

Arrived 8/3/2024 with no issues. Took about 20 minutes to install hardware and do pre-start check list. The generator started on the first try and also ran great on LP. No issues!! Next, get the transfer switch and easy start added to AC and I'll be ready for the next power outage.

As a single mother on the Tx Gulf coast one can not be overly prepared for electrical interruptions that make life difficult and perilous. I sleep easy knowing I’ve got it covered with the choice of petroleum gas or propane power at My finger tips. Thanks Westinghouse!

We live in the PNW and the weather can be unpredictable. We just put half a beef in the freezer and we didn’t have a backup power supply. We purchased this unit to ensure the protection of our investment and to become more self sufficient, which we feel is important during these volatile times we are currently living in.
