I bought this to replace a smaller generator on which I was tired of replacing carburetors. This was, in my opinion, a GREAT value for the features but I was even more pleased when it arrived and I saw the quality of the product. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a portable generator with the power to run your whole house.

Heavy duty machine, and I MEAN HEAVY. This generator is easy to use and has lots of different features (my wife particularly likes the remote starter). Generator packs a punch, whether running on unleaded fuel or propane. Switching between the two fuel types is super easy with the hose included in the purchase. Have not had to run during a power outage yet, but during a dry run, we powered our whole house for a couple of hours with the simple push of a button and flip of a switch. Setup did take a little longer than expected because the threaded bolts to secure the feet did not fit perfectly from the factory. Heavy duty wheels were up to the job, although they are only secured to the generator using small cotter pins, which feel a little undersized for the task. Remember, this is a heavy machine so if you don't have permanent outdoor storage, these wheels will come in handy. I store mine in the garage and roll it out when needed. Also, refilling the oil reservoir required more oil than what was sent from the factory. There are so many options on the market when looking for a generator. All in all, my wife and I are happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend to other prospective buyers.

I absolutely love this generator. After looking for 2 years we finally pulled the trigger and bought this Westinghouse 9500 and I do not regret it! It has the dual fuel option and is so easy to use! The remote start is a great idea and I never considered it when I was looking before. The price is what sold us, and the fact that it's a dual fuel it's a no Brainer! Easy choice no doubt.

I have had this for 2 years. Before last night wild have given it 5 stars. Power went out, cranked it up abs worked great....for about 5 hours. Now 7 hours later, it has died 3 times... when it runs, the unit intermittently generates electricity. 38 degrees outside....53 in my house because my "great" generator used 6 to 8 times camping, is not doing it's job, the first time it was a necessity. I can't even run my coffee maker. It is frustrating and my household......8 including a pregnant woman and a 10 month old....are cold.....NOT HAPPY

We purchased this generator to replace our 16 year old one that started to leak excessively. We use the generator primarily as a back-up power source for our home when we lose power. Although we haven't had a reason to use it yet, we love that this generator has the option of using gasoline or propane, that it's powerful enough to run everything we need during an outage, and the remote start is so convenient!

I bought this generator as a back-up power supply for my home. Assembly was easy and the included motor oil saved me a trip to the store. I wanted it available for use the next day as a large nor'easter had been predicted but then I read in the owner's manual that it could not be used in the rain or snow. It is also not recommended to be used in a garage or near the house. How am I going to use this as a back-up power source during storms if I can't use it in a storm? Any suggestions?

I bought the model# 9500 post hurricane Beryl in July. Since we have lost power on 2 other occasions. The 9500 was available to provide power for the entire first floor of our home for 2 + days. It’s quiet, powerful and portable. Should have made the purchase years ago.

I purchased my generator because I Live in a state with a long hurricane season. I have not had to use it yet but so far I am very happy with the great value for the price. I like its appearance and even though it’s heavy it is very easy to move with the wheels it brings. The wheels had to be put together but that was a quick step. The best part is that it is a dual fuel generator.

Delivered as promised on time. Instructions are easy to follow. Had propane installed by propane professional technician and he was very impressed with all this generator has to offer. We started it up with no issues. Have not used so far for power loss but I am confident it will not disappoint.

I bought this to power my house via a transfer box during power outages. After installation I have trialed it with all circuits running from the transfer box including my well, a water heater, microwave, and several other circuits. The meters show plenty of power to spare. It moves easily and running off propane is easy. Only time now will tell how dependable the unit is.
