I have only owned this a week, and it is my first generator. The setup was easy (feet, wheels, oil, battery hookup). I added gas and it started up without a problem. I ran a large air compressor as a test and it powered it fine. I intend to install a 50 Watt inlet box on the house to power a 1.5 ton AC unit and 2 refrigerators. It’s early going, but great so fat

I ordered this generator for the house and ended up using it two days after receiving it. It was easy to set-up and started right away. I was also impressed with the run time on the gas. First portable generator of this size and I was very impressed. I hope to get many years of use.

I liked how easy it was to get the generator turned on and running - it was a great touch to have that first quart of oil included in the shipment. Unfortunately, it couldn't sustain 2 1500W heaters (one plugged in to each of the two outlet boxes). Presumably that will be because of my altitude (~6000 feet). We'll see how good Westinghouse is at warranty coverage!

Just got my generator in today. Instructions are clear, construction of unit seems well put together and was the best price I could find on the market for my desired power output. I’m looking forward to seeing how it performes once hooked up too my homes power panel

Received this week and it started up right away on propane. Electrician was able to install transfer switch to home and the generator was great when we tested. Overall very satisfied. 4 Westinghouse generators have been purchased in my neighborhood in the past 30 days.

Just purchased this generator after the winter storms hit Texas. Being from NC we have bad winter and summer storms. I am a nurse that takes care of a medically fragile patient and we must depend on many medical devices such as his low air loss mattress and hospital bed, oxygen concentrator, and suction machine to just name a few. I must have the most reliable power source in the event of an emergency. I did much research and spoke with several other mechanically inclined "men" to see where I should put my money. The most important feature to me was that I could operate it by myself. I liked the keyfob best of all. I can click it out the window and not have to leave my patient's side. I liked the dual fuel option, especially being able to switch from one source to the other without turning it off. I liked that it has an automatic low oil shutoff. I liked that it has a metal gas tank, not plastic like my old generator that I can't operate by myself. I like that it can be hooked up to the house and run the whole house and I don't have to run drop cords everywhere. The hard tires are great, no need to worry about getting a flat. I'm a 5'0" tall female and had no trouble moving it around in the garage. After the quick assembly and adding the oil was the moment of truth. I pointed the keyfob and pushed, it fried up on the first touch. It ran surprisingly quiet, just another bonus. I don't want to lose power but now I can rest assured that I can manage this generator by myself. I will be ready and will post again after I am able to use it more.

I bought this product in Aug. of this year. The assembly and functionality has been very easy. Had it wired to the house direct, at a small cost .It started right up on 1st try. I will sleep better knowing I am prepared to keep house functioning if we lose our power.

I researched several comparable generators to run my home during a crises but this one came out to be the clear winner and that was before I even considered that it was one of the least expensive of the ones in its class. Now that I have it I can also say that it looks to be well made and the remote start and stop feature is a nice bonus.

I had been considering a home backup generator for several years. Looking over the list of compatable generators from my electric company, I was happy to see that Westinghouse was on the list. So I ordered the WGen9500DF and I'm very happy with it. When unpacking it, all of the parts were there, The instructions were simple and complete, the proper oil (with a funnel !) was included. There was also an exploded view of a replacement parts sheet. I can't tell you how many times I've delt with other products from companies who were not as complete and thorough. Thank you Westinghouse for making an excelent product and caring about your customers.

I just received the generator this morning. I connected it to a tank of propane, connected the battery and it started right up. I used both the remote control and the push to start button. It has a pull cord but I haven't tried that yet. It also comes with a charger to keep the battery ready to go.
