This unit is amazing, you just push the button, and it will start the auto choke and start automatically. It also has a key fob to start it remotely. It has plenty of power to power my whole home via a transfer switch that I had installed by an electrician.

I know that my home and neighbors will have power in the many PGE public safety shut offs that occur in our now fire prone area. It will take care of the entire campground when we go camping too. My only criticism is that I wish it had 4 wheels instead of 2. It’s pretty heavy.

I bought this to power a RV with 2 a/s units. It doesn't even grunt when the compressors kick in. The remote key fob start is definently a plus. I think this one will last a long time as it is very rugged. I might also add it is a heavy unit so plan on having help if you need to load it. I am happy with it so far.

I did a ton of research for a portable generator. After looking at features, reliability, and customer reviews it became clear this was the right one. I wanted a dual fuel generator that could power most (if not all) of my house in an outage which seems to be happening more and more frequently. The unit arrived well packaged with clear easy to follow directions. Assembly only took a few minutes and it fired right up. I haven't had a chance to run it for an extended time yet but based on the quality build I expect it to do just fine for a long time.

This Westinghouse product (WGen9500DF Dual Fuel Portable Generator) was recommended by the electrician who hooked up the plug for the portable generator to our breaker box. I was scouting a few other models and when I listed them for the electrician, he said, "No. No, no, no, no. You want the Westinghouse. Not those other ones." I know that Westinghouse is a great name brand, a legacy brand, so it was not difficult for me to take the electrician’s recommendation. I am sure glad I did. It was important to get one with LOTS of power, and this model has plenty. You can barely hear the unit surge when I turn on more and more breakers and give it more load. The WGen9500DF can handle all that I throw at it. I even turned on a few extra things, plugging them into garage plugs. No problem. This unit runs all the lights and plugs in my family room, so we will not lose internet service when the power goes out; all the lights upstairs and in the master bedroom and bath; everything in the kitchen (including fridge and stove); and the garage fridge and other outlets in there. And, of course (and, most importantly) it easily handles my home's furnace, well pump, and ejector pump. I basically have EVERYTHING I need on in the house ... and could probably plug in a window AC if I needed to in a heat wave. Hopefully, I will not have to attempt that, but I’m sure this generator can handle it. The unit is easily maneuverable. Without gas in the huge 6.6-gallon tank, I can move it out of the garage, over some grass, and over a little hump to get it on the back patio. It might need to use two hands if it is filled with gas ... which is why I am glad this thing is DUAL FUEL. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to be able to run this on gasoline or propane. You're going to need that flexibility one day and will be glad you have it. The ability to switch between fuels is as easy as turning a dial. The remote start/stop is also super convenient. If you are looking for a portable generator to restore power to the essentials in your house, and maybe even a little more, this is the unit for you. It's a little loud, but not much louder than a power washer. In fact, that's what my neighbor thought I was running when she heard it going on my first test. Now she's going to come over and check out my generator and will probably buy the same one. Highly recommended.

Purchased this generator because of 50 amp plug and the surge, running watts and dual fuel. When Helene hit Western NC, gas was hard to get. I like the propane run time. Just started it up and tried both fuel sources. Both worked great and 240 volt output. Easy to put it together and I liked the oil funnel. Great product at a great price.

Bought this during the winter storm of 2021. Extremely long story short, my parents live in Texas and I was out of country jumped on first flight possible and returned to the states. I needed to take a generator to Texas from my home in Alabama. I had a decent size one at home a made the drive to help them have power. I ordered this generator on my return and when I returned home I opened the box, I was really not expecting to have such a high quality product. It is larger and better built than my last one. Have to give this a 5 star, side note it has a remote start, not sure what I’d use that for but it’s definitely a plus!

I will say this is the first generator I've had that starts so easy. As for noise it does have a loud sound but you quickly forget about it when you really are needing it. The handle and wheels are a big upgrade from my last one,does make it easy to move and place where you want it, and once you fill it with has it does add a lot of weight to it,so I recommend putting it where you need it first. It has enough power that it ran my whole house for 8 hours during this last cold storm we had and I only filled it once. The push button start and remote are handy instead of having to pull start it. And once I get a shed put in for it the remote will be about the only thing I will use.

I bought this generator after a hard freeze and the loss of power. Unfortunately, I had damage to my pool and decided I'm not going to be without a generator again. After much reseach, I chose this Westinghouse WGen9500DF because of it's features and the fact that I can use propane or gas. Set up was easy. I have started the generator using propane and let it run for a few minutes. It ran fine. I have not started it on gas, but sure it will be fine.

I haven't even run this enough to encompass the 5 hour break-in period yet. But I'll tell you what I have found, so far. The instructions are incomplete. I'm still looking for the "eco mode" switch that isn't supposed to be "on" during break-in. The instructions discuss the switch but don't tell you how to turn it off. Also, it would be great if the instructions gave you an idea as to how much oil needs to be added....ya know - 1/2 qt or 6 quarts? Instead, you have to pour a couple tablespoons in and check the level,......repeat infinite times. BTW...mine took an entire quart. If you plan to operate this generator above 5000 feet in elevation, you need an additional part for your carburetor or you may damage the engine, according to the instructions. That part has to be ordered at an additional cost to the owner. Maybe it would be a good idea to just throw one in the box, in the future? Other than that, the unit seems fairly solid. Not a fan of the cheap plastic wheels but maybe they'll be OK? After I found the gas shut-off switch, the unit started right up. It is a bit loud but not any worse than comparable units, maybe even a bit quieter. The LED display for the "Data Center" is a joke. It has to be almost totally dark to view any of the display. I had mine in the garage, with the door open, and was not able to tell if the Data Center even worked. I had to close all the doors and turn off the lights to see the display. BTW....don't operate this unit in a closed up room! The main downside to this unit is it is VERY heavy. 200+ pounds. More than most individuals can handle by themselves. But I hope it will give me a lifetime of untroubled service. I guess we'll see.
