Just received the unit from the freight company and set it up. Set-up was not too complicated and some of the needed tools were included. It started up with gas and propane right away. I had trouble trying to figure out how to drain the fuel, as the pictures in the included manual do not match the model I have. I am still trying to figure out how to drain the carburetor and tank. Therefore, 4 stars instead of 5. Will do a better load test in a couple of weeks after I get the switch added to my breaker panel. That will be the true test.

Bought it as a back up to power the house essentials. Propane option and remote start make it easy to operate. Started at the first try w/o any problem. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it. appears to be a solid build as expected (i did a lot of research prior to making the purchase)

I REVIEWED EVERY DF GENERATOR CURRENTLY ON THE MAKET AND I FEEL THAT THE WGEN9500DF IS BY FAR THE BEST. NOT ONLY WILL IT RUN MY ENTIRE HOME IT ADAPTS VERY WELL TO MY TRANSFER SWITCH. STARTED UP ON THE FIRST TRY AND RAN GREAT--ON TOP OF THIS IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!

I bought this generator to replace another brand I have had for several years. The quality of this new Westinghouse generator exceeds all expectations. I hope I never need it but I'm comfortable knowing I have this fine machine should the need arise.

I just received the unit yesterday. The generator came fully assembled and is in great condition. The only thing I had to assemble were the wheels and support feet. The assembly was very easy and quick. This unit has excellent features and will be used primarily as back up power in case of power failure which occurs frequently here in my area. I still need to equip this generator for high altitude use and install a transfer switching device for household use. The manual that came with this generator is very well done with clear and precise instructions and information. I have not yet started it up yet as I am in the process of ordering the altitude kits for gas and propane use. As it stands I am completely satisfied with this unit and I believe I will be very happy when I start it up.

I bought the WGen9500 dual fuel generator to serve as a home emergency power backup system. It was super easy to unbox and setup. The generator started on the first try using the electric start button. I ran the generator for five hours break-in keeping the load below 50% as detailed in the manual. I was surprised and pleased that it was not as loud as I had expected. I am very pleased with the quality, operation and appearance of the components. The electrician who installed a transfer switch for my home even commented on the quality build of the generator and how easily and readily it starts. Thank you Westinghouse!

I'm very satisfied with this generator. It feels well built and has all the extra features I was looking for (50amp outlet, GFCI plugs and an electric start as well as a pull crank manual start). Having dual fuel capability also increases its versatility.

I finally had a chance to try out the generator and it worked great. Gas lasted longer than I thought it would, conversion to propane was quick and easy. Remote start was really great since I was using it on a Jobsite and didn’t need to keep it running all of the time, only when I was running saws and the compressor. I would have given 5 stars if I didn’t need to drill out the axle holes to get the wheels on. The powder coating had made them a hair too small for the axles to go through.

The Westinghouse WGen9500DF generator is a real work horse. This duel fuel generator is built very solid and has many extras. The electric start with Key fob is a nice touch. I have to wait for my electrician to tie into the house transfer switch, but it starts and runs smoothly. I am very pleased with this purchase. It is quite heavy and would be easier to move if Westinghouse had included 4 wheels instead of just 2.

We had our electrician set up our generator with a direct propane line with a cutoff valve, a circuit box with 10 circuits run by the generator which we can switch to when the power goes out. This is a sweet set up since when we need power, we simply turn on the propane valve, plug the generator into the secondary circuit box, start up the generator, and switch over to our generator box for power. No fumes that I've noticed, volume while running the 9500 is probably less than our lawn mower, and the power seems to cover our draw--unless perhaps we turn on every appliance in the house all at once. It's a real rescue for California outages due to fire danger in the summer or high winds in the winter!
