Easy to set up after reading the instructions. Started up great with the remote after a slight delay. PG&E will be turning off our electricity for a few hours soon but hope we won't need it and they finish their work fast. Glad we now have the peace of mind of having this generator for emergencies. A friend recommended this one to us and glad she did!

I purchased this generator after we went 6 days without power after a storm. I compared various makes and decided on the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF. I could not be happier. Purchase was easy, directions and setup were a breeze. The generator starts right up and powers everything I need in my home. It is also portable so I can haul it anywhere on my rural property that I need to, to be able to have electric for power tools, lights etc. I recommend this generator to everyone I can.

I bought this generator mainly for RV. Our RV is not stored close to a power source so I wanted a generator that had enough power to run 2 AC's. This Generator has both 30amp and 50 amp receptacle. This generator fired up on first try and it uses both Gasoline and propane which is another reason I bought it. I am very happy that I purchased this generator.

I bought this generator for my father to hook up to his house transfer switch. After a lot of searches and reviews on other generators, decided on this model for the output wattage and its dual fuel capability. I traveled to see my father this weekend and got a chance to unbox the generator and try it out. Easy to setup and runs great. Haven't had a lot of time to use so time will tell. So far, my father is very happy with this generator. There are only two issues I have with the generator: 1. The first problem is not with Westinghouse or the generator itself, the problem is with the shipping company that delivered the generator to my father. During shipping the freight company must have used a fork lift to move the generator or they dropped the generator on its end. When I unboxed the generator, I noticed that the frame on the left side wheel end was bent or dimpled in and the powder coating paint was cracked at the bend in several places. Also, the left wheel is tilted slightly inward due to the frame being bent. It is not bad to where it affects any movement or operation, it is just cosmetic and I wouldn't even consider sending it back for that. I took some flat black paint to touch up the paint chips. 2. The second issue I noticed is with the LP regulator orange protective cap and lanyard. When the generator was assembled, the technician who assembled it, cross-threaded the cap to where it was very tight to remove and the plastic cap threads are now worn out. Also the tech tightened the cap lanyard attaching screw to the frame too tight to where it ripped out a side of the plastic lanyard attaching screw hole.

Great out of the box. The directions were, in my opinion, a bit over complicated. I realize people will use any excuse to sue a corporation for any reason, but the safety warnings are too much. Started up without issue. I really like how the tools needed to complete the set up are provided.

Just set up my generator from Lowe's, the wheels were somewhat easy to install, but you need two people. We found that laying it on its side helped but the cotter pins were a little difficult. Battery charged quickly. I had it ready for a storm but we didn't loose power. The controls and manual are easy to follow. Waiting for an electrician to connect it to my circuit breakers, he said the key fob start will be a great feature.

The WGen9500DF is a nicely equipped machine. It has all the features that I was looking for. I'll be using the 50 amp service to power my house during power outages. It comes with a battery tender to keep the batter charged. I doubt I'll use the remote start, but maybe it'll be useful at some point. I love the flexibility to be able to use either propane or gasoline. I plan to mainly use propane, but having options is the best.

I just purchased this Generator for my home backup power in case of a hurricane. I have been in the Construction industry all of my life and just retired after being a State Certified electrical contractor for over 30 years and this is by far the best state of the art generator I have ever bought. I tested it today for 5 hours and everything worked perfect. I would highly recommend this product.

Bought this when I was tired of losing power multiple times per winter. Using it on propane seemed like a good idea, and it worked out well. The push button start is easy, the controls are intuitive and the manual was very easy to follow. Plenty of power to run my entire house.

I bout one and ad to take it back. The customer support man was great even though it took six calls and waiting for a couple hours to get through. I also had to drive an hour one way to take it back. I did order another and it did work so far. I’m just now going through the breaking in the engine and oil change. I will have to update review later. One thing is, I lost a day but did decide to give them another try. That should be cause for a discount or something. It was over 200 LBS and I hurt my back loading it by myself and still paying for it!!
