I received this generator in less than two weeks. Read through the manual and ran tests. The system is operating as designed. I would recommend adding more details on using a 120v ac charger in the manual break-in or maintenance section, specifically on what position the battery/run switches need to be in (on or off). Other than that minor detail no one should have an issue setting the generator. Rating 4.9

I live in a rural area and we have power outages often. I have a small generator that I would use to keep the refrigerators and freezer running. I bought this generator so I could connect it to my electrical panel with a cable and run most everything during an outage. It works great and I am ready for the next outage.

I purchased this about three weeks ago and it has worked as advertised. Started up easily the first time and everything worked. Have been running it on gas mostly for the break-in but tried propane and it also ran great. Haven't had a chance to run it extensively under a heavy load, but don't foresee any issues.

Out of the box, everything was fastened securely and all the parts needed for the minor assembly were included. Out of the box, everything works as advertised! Included was the best owner/operator manual I have seen. In common english and no awkward words or phrasing from translations.Tells what to do but also why.

I live in the south where hurricanes are prevelant and having expereinced a few I wanted something that would run my enitre home. Now it will not run everything all at the same time, but you're not going to be doing that during a disaster anyway. I can run my tankless water heater and have warm water.. not hot but warm enough for a decent shower as long as no other appliances are running. Had a power outage for about 3 hours a month ago and it cranked without issue and ran perfectly. Very happy with the purchase.

The generator is awesome with the remote start feature and the electric push to start control. There are many issues online about the difficulty to start for the first time,make sure the oil is full and prime the oil pressure, also use a little starting fluid spray in the carb as the fuel system is gravity fed and needs a little assistance on the first start up.

Had my WGen9500dfc for about 18 months. Never had to use it for emergency. Tested it periodically and never had an issue. Tested it ahead of HELENE and it didn’t start. A week later I’m emailing with the support folks. Was told the run/stop switch needs to be replaced. Hope that does the trick. Not feeling confident that my family can rely on it in a pinch now.

I will not have to worry about a power outage in the future. This generator can power my whole house. The installer gave me all the instructions step by step to start the generator if I need it. This is such a relief to me. Love the key fob for starting!

Did my homework on generators, this was the best option for me. I wanted duel fuel, push button starts, reliability, long run times, auto choke,lots op power, and a good warranty, this one checked all the boxes Set up was easy, first ran it on propane then tested running on gas runs perfectly on both, now looking forward to our next power outage.

This model caught my eye from first sight. The price was right. I really liked the way it looked. Westinghouse is a well-known brand that goes way back for me. Then I started comparing other brands and that’s what really hooked me. This model had all the bells and whistles at a more reasonable price. I read a few reviews and they also spoke well of this model. Bottom line, I am so glad I stuck with my first choice. The Westinghouse WGEN9500DF. The front panel has covers for all the outlets. Big plus. I learned from other users that dual fuel is a feature to look for. This unit had it. The handles make it easier to move this 220-pound beast of a machine. I can move in in and out of my shed with not a lot of effort or cause for concern. I fired it up yesterday. It worked out of the box. I even cranked it up by hand and that went well. I hooked it up to my circular saw and a lamp. In a couple of weeks, I’ve got a licensed electrician coming by to connect it to my house electric panel via Reliance Pro Trans 2 50 Amp generator transfer switch. I’m confident it will handle the 8000-watt load I plant to throw at it without breathing too heavy. This baby maxes out at around 12,500 watts. So, I’ve got room to spare. I will run it in the back yard and connect it to my panel by the front of the house via a 75-foot 50 amp, 6 awg cable. My plan is to run it every time I mow my lawn. I will try to fit in a full-house power transfer every quarter to make sure my plan is sound. I am so happy with this purchase.
