We have had our generator a few months and have only had to use it a couple of times, but those times have been great! I work from home and need to have power and I was able to switch to this generator with minimal difficulty and disruption. We live in Florida and are getting ready for storm season.

I have had Westinghouse generator products for nearly 10 years now and they crank every time I need them and are more fuel efficient than the rest. This is why I’m getting the 9500, can run my camper and a lot of my house essentials at the same time During a storm.

I am impressed with this Generator right out of the box. Super easy to assemble the wheel and rubber foot kit. the fold down handle is perfectly balaced for rolling the unit into place. Rugged build, clear well-organized control panel with lots of outlets from 20a to 50a. Filled it with oil [supplied] and non-ethanol fuel [best to use] hooked up the battery [so easy] flipped the choke to ON, pushed the starter button and it fired right up!! After less than a minute in 40 degree temps, the choke automatically released and the engine ran smoothly and powerful. NA the noise level was not as loud as my old generator. I'm happy so far and will keep y'all posted if this thing fails but I can tell it is a good unit.

We just purchased this generator and started it up. Runs fairly quietly. It has a number of powering options. We hope the weather cooperates this winter and we don't have to use it, but feel confident that it will perform as advertised if we do. Thanks!

Purchased for backup power to home. The WGen9500DF has plenty of power to do just that. Having the dual fuel option is quite nice for bad weather when I can go to get gas. I can use the LP gas tank from several other items I have on hand. I recommend this as a good backup.

We bought this in January 2024 and used during a winter storm and in the spring during a thunderstorm outage. We had a power outage last week and the generator wouldn't start, then we jumped the battery with our car. Worked great for several hours then it just quit - plenty of fuel was in it. We are troubleshooting now. May change the overall rating if it is an easy fix. Frustrating since it worked so well earlier this year - brand new also!

Worked good out of the box. Doesn't charge it's own battery. If the battery dies the starter stays engaged untill it smokes itself out. Tried to pull start and it pulls HARD. I'm a grown man and it back pulled me into it and the insides of the recoil EXPLODED! Brittle plastic all over. Left us with no genny till we can figure out the warranty. Back to the small predator genny walking on cords with no potable water. I'll update this review after we hear From the warranty department.

I have done a lot of research on generators because i didn’t want to go with just any brand. The Westinghouse wgen9500df was easy to put a few parts on. The instructions were easy to understand and started right up. Runs great and not as noisy as others we have owned. It will be a great choice for our home in emergencies

Just received my WGen9500DF generator and it works amazingly good! I’m gonna strictly use propane so that I won’t have to worry about having carburetor issues due to old gas. Looking forward to installing a transfer switch so that our home always has power regardless of weather outages.

I bought this item about a month ago. After following all directions on starting for the first time, it fired right up. I have only used gas so far, but I will soon have my local LP company install a gas line for direct propane usage. This generator was priced perfect (much less expensive than a "whole house" generator) and will power the majority of my home during an outage.
