I just purchased this to use to power my home during power outages. It came packaged well, and the quality is notable. It is very portable, with wheels and a handle, despite the weight of the unit. I am excited to have this generator to sustain power to my home during outages.

Lost power for 4 days due to remnants of Hurricane Ida. Was determined to avoid this problem in the future. My new generator was just delivered today. Waiting for electrician to connect everything. Right now, I have it paced just inside my garage door so that it can be rolled out when needed. Hopefully, I can move it! Will update this review once everything done and after first use.

This is a great dual fuel generator with all the features you can need with remote start, two plug transfer switch, and more. The included manual that explains how to change bonded neutral is good for those that know what that is. All at decent price.

This is a pre-review, FYI. Just opened the box and found a loose bolt laying in the bottom of the box. Now I need to look around to see where it might have come from. Also had to provide my own washers when mounting the wheels as those provided did not fit over the wheel stud because the washer ID was too small. Obviously the wrong washers. Other than the shipping box looked like it had gone through a tornado, the unit was fine, no dents or scratches. Will provide and updated review once I run the unit in.

The unit runs great. It was very difficult to start initially, but once I realized I needed to hold the choke manually due to the extreme northern Michigan cold she started right up. I was able to run more than half my house during an extended power outage, but it would not run the furnace. I need to install a capacitors the furnace to 'clean' the power coming in. Looking at reviews this seems to be a common issue with some furnaces and not really a knock on this genny. The ability to switch the bonded ground relatively quickly is a bonus. I love that the manual is highly descriptive and includes all info required to maintain it yourself (spark plug gap, valve clearance, etc).

My son-law bought a Westinghouse 9500/12500 late last year. He showed me all the great features and ease of operation. I had to have one of my own. With Fall & Winter just a few months away, having this generator will give me peace of mind. Thank you for a great product.

I purchased in 12/2024 for power outage backup along the coast of Maine. Have not had the opportunity to use yet. But the dual fuel option Model WGEN9500DFC also has a remote start. Friends who purchased for their home spoke highly about the product.

Initial test shows that the generator works seamlessly with my manual transfer switch and propane input. Assembly was easy, but female portion of bolts that hold the feet have a defect and I couldn't attach one of the bolts. The generator started up first try, and although loud (expected) I look forward to a powerful solution next time the power goes out.

Unit arrived in a damaged box. Found a small dent and paint scraped off in two places on the frame. Assembly instructions were easy to follow but there was only enough oil included to fill to the bottom of the dip stick. Engine fired right up with propane. Seems like a well built unit.

Lets start with the good stuff. The actual product is fantastic once you get it started. The push button and remote starting is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this generator to my friends and family. They would have gotten a 5 from me on the hardware if it could stand alone. However I believe the instructions are lacking 1 simple clear instruction. That is on page 14 of the manual Connecting the Battery. there in 1 sentence are the complete instructions. When you look at the unit you see black wires with a black tie around them. They look like 1 unit that shouldn't be cut apart. They should split that 1 sentence into 2 steps. 1) Cut the tie holding the battery connections, 2) Connect the 2 ends together. It would also be nice to show a picture of each operation. If you can not do that easily then at less make the tie Yellow or Red so it does not look like it is part of the wires. Customer Support is great when you finally get through to them. It took me days of calling in for long waits only to be hung up on. I was almost ready to send it back to the store.
