generator is great , just cant believe, that the would not provide the connection cords , to go with the unit , since these are not cords you can find easily, heck even went to 2 different Walmart stores couldn't find them, have order them online, just to let u know , bought a 5500 , 35 some ought years ago , now that one came with all cords and accessories needed, can you imagine if I needed the generator in a emergency , i would have been screwed, all I'm saying its like u go and buy a plane and u cant use it cause it aint got no wings

I did my research of the major brands that are duel fuel and have enough power to operate my home with only a small concern of what I am running in the house. I heat/cool 3,700 sq. ft. with 3 Minie splits and Geothermal, this unit does all I could expect. I did favor Westinghouse because of a small 3,600w unit I have on our floating dock. This small unit will start and run on the (2) second pull EVERY TIME.

Hard to review. Generator damaged during shipment. Received on March 3rd and submitted an incident report immediately and have not got an answer from Sams or the manufacturer as to what to do with it. It is sitting in garage. 21 days is long enough to get an answer so will not order a generator on line again from Sams Club. Will be loading into my van and hauling it into a store to get my money back.

This is just an initial review. I have not used this unit under any real load. 1. Delivery - Impressive. I live on a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway. I did not realize the unit would be delivered via tractor-trailer although I did spend some time looking when I ordered. The gentleman who delivered it parked on the little country road at the end of our driveway, unloaded the unit with the electric pallet fork and then drove the entire driveway with the electric pallet forks. I was stunned when I responded to the doorbell to find him standing there with the 200lb delivery. He went above and beyond. Very impressed! 2. Initial quality - Packaging was more than sufficient. There was no damage. - All the parts were in the box - including the remote start which took me a few minutes to find (it was hooked on the pull start rope (lol).) - Assembly was well detailed (and understandable) in the user's manual and simple to complete. Yes, I always read the user's manual and I am not ashamed. Initial startup - Initial startup was a breeze. This is the first time I have ever owned a unit with electric start. It is worth EVERY PENNY! And the remote start? Functionality and convenience for an emergency. Imagine that! - Ran the unit for a couple hours on gas. Changed the oil. - Ran the unit until the gas completely ran dry. - Switched over to propane. The unit ran like a dream. So far, Sam's Club and Westinghouse have exceeded my expectations. Now to find an electrician to install a transfer switch to the main panel. Sounds like fun!

I had a great generator and Upgraded to this one. Plenty of power. 50 amp outlet provides more than enough wattage to run my house with central a/c. The remote start is cool and sealed the deal, Dual fuel gives us 2 options to power the unit. that eliminates driving around look for fuel

So far, so good. It's obviously heavy so don't plan on loading and unloading it yourself. Very easy setup. It isn't too difficult to move once the wheels are in place. After setup it started on the 2nd attempt after fuel got through the system. It starts and stops every time with no issues. Easy to operate with clear instructions. We didn't experience "power fade" in instances when appliances (refrigerator) turned on. Overall it's a solid machine. What I would change: 1. Wheels are plastic and don't appear like they will be durable. Solid rubber wheels would be a big improvement. 2. For folks with limited experience the choke and fuel valve should have better labeling. 3. QR code for the registration since it is 2026 and that's much quicker/easier.

This generator has a lot of options included in a package for a very affordable price. As of this time, I have run it for only about 3 hours but it started and ran with various loads exactly as expected. I am very impressed with the quality of this generator when compared to my 33 year old generator that it is replacing after an extended power outage. It also comes with several extras that you would normally not expect, i.e, oil filler funnel that is configurable to the location of the filler port, high quality LP Gas connection hose, spark plug wrench, even a remote starter which will come in handy when using during a storm! What I was most impressed by was that when I ordered the generator from Sam's Club, they stated that delivery would be within 10 days but to my surprise it was delivered within 2 days. Very pleased customer, with Westinghouse product and Sam's Club.

This generator has lots of great features for the price. Dual fuel is a plus for me. It starts right up easily with the electric start. Includes all of the necessary outlets, and the display for volts, hertz, hours, etc is nice to have built in. It includes the wheels and handle which you sometimes have to purchase separately with other brands. It should work great during the next power outage.

Bought this generator a couple months ago as we live off grid and i was heavily pregnant and couldn’t start our old generator by myself. This push button start and remote has been a life saver as my husband goes to work and now that we have the baby i dont have to leave him to turn it on.

Our area is prone to storms and we have lost power on numerous occasions so I decided to invest in a generator. Family members have the large stand by system that requires a large propane tank and lots of wiring and plumbing to set it up which costs thousands of dollars. I decided to go a different route and purchased the Westinghouse duel fuel 9500. It’s small enough to keep in a garden shed and to just roll out when needed. The generator shipped to my home for under $1000. A heavy duty cord to hook it up to the house was less than $100, the electric hook up to my house was $500 parts and labor so for less than $1600 I have a system that will keep me cool all summer and warm all winter. The biggest selling point was the cost savings. To run my system for 24 hours would cost me around $40 on a standby system it takes three gallons of propane an hour at $3 a gallon times 24 hours that’s 72 gallons.
