Great portable home generator. Has the power to run the items needed after loss of power from hurricanes and tropical storms. Our electrician created an easy hookup for our generator with an interlock in the electrical panel to prevent potential damage to our electrical system when the power comes back on. Nice to have the choice of gasoline or propane. We use Ethanol-Free gasoline to prevent gum-up in the carburetor and run the unit every two months. It comes with a quick disconnect for the battery when not in use. The remote start is also a nice feature.

Super easy setup. Read the instructions and follow the directions and you'll be happy. Pay attention to your choke setting because you may need to move it one way or another if the machine doesn't start after a couple tries. Yes, the directions emphasize this too. Powers the whole house through a GenerLink meter connection that the electric company installed for free. Yes, the GenerLink costs money but saves a considerable amount in labor fees to install the alternative way of connecting the generator. A little loud running but lowers the decibels considerably with a properly built generator box. In conclusion, this Westinghouse generator is a solid investment in peace of mind.

Received damaged generator purchased online. Had a difficult time with the return/exchange over the phone. Attempted to return in person at Willowbrook Houston location, employee and manager did not want to return the damaged item. Had to go to a different location for the return. West Rd location manager was very helpful and returned it. Willowbrook location lost my business.

Looking for a portable generator that supports Dual fuel, remote start and 50amp power inlet and it has everything. Didn't run for long time, just for few mins since purchasing and it was great. Had an electrician installed Power Inlet & Generator Interlock kits to feed the power back into breaker.

Easy to start, but must observe and follow precautions to treat fuel with Seafoam and Enzyme stabilizers and run the carburetor empty of fuel when not going to be used for a while, otherwise will have to disassemble and clean the carburetor needle valve assembly.

We bought this to replace our gen max that quit on our food truck and it is twice the generator the gen max was nothing but issues with the gen max. This thing is a beast it's the 50 amp plug we needed but we also can run another window unit and fan from this one with no issues so far,

I bought this by a recommendation since my current generator didn't work with the VDF sub drive I was trying to power, was hesitant at first but tried the Westinghouse WGen9500DF Generator and it worked!! And it's quieter, runs exactly at 240V steady. I recommend it for back-up power needs.

Just purchased the WGen9500df as a backup power source for my lake house. This is replacing a pull start one that the recoil cord broke. Very easy to put the wheels and stabilizers on and fill with oil. Very nice that it comes with trickle charger for the generator battery. The remote battery is a common coin battery that will be easy to replace. I'm pleased with the push and remote starts. Tested out using the propane option and it was easy to attach my tank. The only failure was testing the pull start. You could tell it wanted to engage but I couldn't give it the “umph” it needed. The push button start is my favorite feature. I'm ready for the next power outage and not dreading ripping the cord.

Just received my new Generator. Wheels were easy to put on. Easy to read instructions. You can tell its a quality generator. After the 3rd time being without electricity, just couldn't risk it no more. Glad to have a back up plan. I purchased because all reviews were positive. For what it will provide, price was right.
