I've been searching for a while for a dual fuel 12500/9500 generator. I am more than pleased with the design, features, and operation of the unit. I hooked it up to propane, and it fired up immediately! I'm surprised how quiet it is too. I feel confident this generator will fulfill our needs.

I bought this in August 2020 to protect against hurricane outages in Texas. Little did I know I would need to run it nearly three days straight, hooked up to a 500 pound propane tank, to survive a freeze and supposedly “rolling” blackouts, that went out and didn’t come back on for days. This generator ran the whole time with no hiccups, and kept al my critical appliances, water wells, and central heat (also propane) going. Can not recommend this enough!

I bought this Portable Generator this fall. It was easy to set up. I could easily start the generator by all modes - switch, remote and pull start. I was able to connect this to my home circuit easily through a transfer switch with the help of a technician and do a dry run. It worked perfectly. There was some confusion to locate the jumper settings. The picture would have been more specific to locate the settings under the cover. Also the engine oil capacity said 1.1 qt. But even after filling it completely the dip rod just indicated the level at lower point. I have not put it to use for a longer usage yet. But my first impression is very good

I needed to upgrade from an existing generator, and am so happy I choose the WGen9500DF. It gives me the ability to not only power lights, well, and outlets, but also my HCAC system. This is a huge upgrade for me, and gives me the confidence that when power goes out (and it will go out again!), I will be able to enjoy all the conveniences I enjoy from the power company. Also, having the option to use gasoline or propane is a fantastic way to ensure fuel availability. Highly recommend this generator!

I purchased this item October 14, 2020 and thankfully I didn't have to use it until the middle of winter here in Louisiana. My old unit was of another brand with 4500 watts output, and just couldn't power enough of the house. This year we experienced a very hard winter with snow and ice with extremely low temperatures for our southern state. Result no electricity for days! I went out and cranked this Westinghouse unit and I couldn't believe how good this system cranks, runs, and powers up my home with no bogging down or problems of any kind. I have been researching generators for awhile, the WGen9500DF generator has always been at the top of the reviews and had really nice features. The 50 amp out is one feature I required. Its running time on gas is one of the longest in its group. The generators ability to switch to propane is a great advantage and propane is easier to store.The machine is well built and pretty quiet. I would highly recommend this generator

I have only owned this product for approximately one week. The quality of the unit as well as the packaging is outstanding. I plan to have it connected to the house for standby power late next week and hopefully everything will work well. The only reason I didn’t get it five stars is prior to purchasing it I tried to find service locations and there virtually none in the immediate area. So if the unit has a major problem I probably will not be able to get it repaired.

I just had this delivered moments before. Just installed the feet and the wheels. I have not operated it yet because there is no need. I did look through the user manual and everything seems to be easy to follow. I am sure everything will work out well.

I ordered the generator because we loose power occasionally. Within a week of receiving the generator we lost power for 3 days. Generator worked like a charm the entire time on both propane and gasoline. Definitely recommend this generator! I would 100% buy another if I needed.

My son and I both purchased the same generator model after researching all the brands. We both like the dual fuel flexibility, the push button starting and the other features and the many positive reviews. The push-button start is what at first sold me on this unit since my previous generator was pull start and at my age it was getting difficult. It was shipped on a pallet and very well protect in a box. Installation is so simple that it took me less than 15 minutes, all you have to do is install the wheels, the feet and the included oil to the engine. My second favorite option is the dual fuel flexibility, we live in a hurricane prone area and having this flexibility is very important. The unit is very easy to move even for an older person like me, I'm sure that the wheel 10 inch size helps, my previous generator was lighter but had smaller wheels and felt much more difficult to move. The control panel is very complete and accessible. Runs very smoothly. I highly recommend this generator.
