I last purchased a backup generator in 1999 for Y2K. I didn't use it for the end of earth that our techies worried about, but the regular power outages we get several times of year. Electronic start rarely worked, gas tank too small for a 7500 W unit, and the power was anything but clean. The WGen9500DF has the promised power, is easy to start with a pull, the electronic start/fob both work reliably in cold weather and the unit's gas tank easily get's me through the day as the fob allows me to start and stop unit without going outside. This has beena great generator, had it couple years now and no problems at all, powers whole house, wel pump, water heater, even ran the dryer, though not recomended long term. push start and remote work as should, just ran it 34 hours straight and had no issues. would recommend.

After seeing the issues Texas had last year I decided it would be best to at least be prepared. I bought this generator because it is large enough to run my house without having to worry. I am installing an on demand water heater so we will have everything we need to survive if things get bad. I believe it is money well spent!!

I did extensive research on portable dual fuel generators as we live in the desert southwest and during monsoon storms lose power quite frequently at the hottest time of the year and need a dependable generator. At first we thought about a whole house gen set until we talked with people that have them and have had nothing but problems and were considering purchasing portable units. After much deliberation we settled on the Westinghouse 9500DF. We already had a receptacle installed and the house wired for 50 amps with an interlock on the breaker panel. Having a 5 ton AC we needed a high output generator. We decided to put a Micro Air soft start on the AC which dropped the inrush amps to 32. Having the AC, refrigerator and freezer running is not going to overload this generator and still allow extras to be run when needed. We are going to get a separate generator for the well and garage and Westinghouse will be on our list to look at again. We think the right decision has been made using a portable generator to power our home and making that generator a Westinghouse. Simple to service and just run it once a month to exercise the systems and she'll be ready when we need her.

Just received this unit and it is a very nice unit and will provide the necessary power needed to operate the house. Very easy to assemble and to get started the first time I plan on using it in my shop also. very easy to operate and I like the dual fuel feature.

Bought this generator to use in our new Forest River Fifthwheel! It works great and isn’t too loud! We love the fact that we can turn off the generator remotely from inside our fifthwheel, no more going outside during the cold nights to turn off the generator. We bought this generator there months ago in the event we needed to restore power for a short outage. Fast-forward to Hurricane Ian and we had to power this baby up after we lost power. Fortunately, we only needed the generator for a couple of days. It performed flawlessly and best of all, it was VERY good on fuel usage. Also, we were really pleased with the ease of use! I hope we won't need to use it again any time in the near future... But, we will definitely be ready with this generator! Highly recommend purchasing!!

Super easy setup- wheels, small rubber feet, add oil - make sure you add enough !!! again - make sure you add enough oil !!, add some gas - not a lot if you are just testing it out -- read the quick start guide -- connect the " quick connect" battery cable --hit the remote START button - Generator has an automatic choke ( as long as the included battery has a charge ) -- generator will fire right up. allways keep the running generator away from the house, windows, doors.

I received this generator as a gift from my children because our old gas only generator quit working. We lose power a lot and it takes a while to get it restored as we are on the end of the service line. This generator is so easy to start by the push of a button and easier with remote control. It meets my needs and is very easy to move with the folding handles and wheels. The propane option is nice and came in handy when I ran out of fuel. So easy to switch.

Just purchased and it arrived within a week! Delivery of item exceptional service. The generator is beautiful well constructed. I am a female 50’s something and have arthritis . Easy to use solid work horse. Make sure you get an electrician to hook it up for you!!
