Bought this last year (2023) and finally got an electrician to my house to install a 50amp plug to go directly into my panel. Electrician verified this generator has all the power I need to run my groundwater pump, refrigerator/freezers, microwave lights and small space heaters to keep us comfortable during frequent outages in our part of California. The electrician charged more than the price of the generator.

I had this shipped to an Electrician so cam over to install a transfer switch. After cutting open the Box, I had the wheels installed, legs on, oil in, and propane tank hooked up in 20 min. Connected the battery, and this thing started up immediately. Very satisfied with the packing, the tools that came with it, ( included the 4- stroke oil) and the manuals. Great product out of the box.

This is the 6th generator I’ve purchased over the years. Living in the middle of tornado alley our power goes out quite often. The Westinghouse 9500DFc has been by far the best one of them all. The 9500 is more than enough to run everything we need during our power outages. The remote start just pushes this generator over the top.

After researching many generators I choose this one based on power output and the dual fuel option. Been through many hurricanes. Michael was the last and after losing all power poles in county I saw we had power back in 14 days. Obtaining gasoline was painful, long lines and quarrelsome people. I now have two 100 lb propane tanks and two 5 gallon gas cans. I estimate this amount of fuel will last me about 10 days running 8 hours per day. Filling the propane tanks will be much easier than fighting the gas lines. The generator 240 outlet will connect through a remote receptacle to my whole house switch and run both my well and central AC.

I received the generator on 10/6/22, unboxed, assembled, connected battery charger. Four hours later I started the generator with no issue. I have attempted to start the generator 3 times since and each time the battery has been dead. I am hoping this will be addressed in a warranty claim. Overall seems like a very good generator.

We got this generator to power our home in case of storms and/or blackouts. Not much faith in our depleting grid. This is at least peace of mind. Overall great machine with great features. Assembly was pretty quick, install wheels and supplied oil. Gas it up and connect the battery. Started right up no issues. Haven't got the wiring ready on the house yet but I'm sure this machine will be just fine. And the dual fuel option is pretty awesome too.

Just unpacked this unit today. I am very pleased with everything Ive seen so far! Packed VERY well! extremely easy assembly! Looks to very well built. Even has a nice tool pouch for the included tools. Was happy to find a quart of oil and small funnel included. Bought this unit due to high reviews, wattage rating ( house back up ), and the dual fuel ability. So far super happy with this unit!

We did a lot of comparison shopping and decided on the Westinghouse generator. It’s a household name and the power of this generator, especially for the price is an unbelievable deal. This generator has a great amount of power for our house, also is a dual fuel, and has lots of great features. The set up is great, has a push button start as well as a remote and is also smart switch ready. Great product for a great price!

Haven’t tried the generator yet because I just unboxed it. Searched a number of generators but came back to this one every time. I hope it works as good as the reviews say. Great looking whole home generator in a convenient small package. Far cry cheaper than a expensive larger unit that has to take up space in the yard full time.

Excellent generator. Well built and very sturdy. Push start feature is great. Generator has two major draw backs (and the reason for not getting 5 stars): 1) the 14-50R fifty amp socket is at the far right of the panel, and directly over the rear wheel. meaning my 6/3 cable with a 90 degree end connection had to be severely bent to the side to not hit the rear wheel and plug in all the way. It took some man handling and would barely fit. 2) the generator would not run at full power for extended periods of time. I have a CA CARB compliant model and after several hours of running at high load it would create a vacuum in the fuel line. the CARB box could not keep up. it would kill itself if I did not periodically open the gas tank to let it breath. this was not a problem at low loads.
