I have been wanting to buy a generator before the next power outage. After Reviewing Features and prices and also wanted a generator that had dual fuel I decided on the Westinghouse WGen9500DF. Had a inlet box put in for the 50amp to power my Whole house. Simulated a power outage by cutting off utility power. This generator can power my entire house did not use any heavy appliances but the generator can handle heavy appliance washing machine sub pumps,refrigerator freezer,dishwasher and most important Ac and Furnace depending on the season. I would Recommend this product and possibly putting in an inlet Box so that all your devices in your house would be able to work in a power outage up to Generator specs depending if using gasoline or propane Rocko

Generator was just as expected except one item: the display does not provide measurement of power output. It displays only voltage, frequency and hours. A Watt Meter would be useful to avoid overloading generator and ensuring load is balanced. I will need to purchase Watt meter separately. This aside, this seems like a very good generator, with enough power to live comfortably during our next power outage.

We did a lot of comparison shopping and decided on the Westinghouse generator. It’s a household name and the power of this generator, especially for the price is an unbelievable deal. This generator has a great amount of power for our house, also is a dual fuel, and has lots of great features. The set up is great, has a push button start as well as a remote and is also smart switch ready. Great product for a great price!

Bought this a month ago (after hurricane Ian) the setup was easy started up quickly and produces a lot of power. Not as loud as i had expected. Was delivered quickly with no issues. Included oil, wrench and everything to run on both Gas and Propane. Very please with purchase

Bought this dual fuel generator ahead of hurricane season since we live in an area which is prone to hurricanes/outages. Tested using both fuel options, including transitioning from 1 to the other--perfect. Feel we will be protected to run essentials if we lose power.

Great product! I spent about 1 hour doing the assembly, all the necessary parts were available including the necessary wrench. Upon examination the generator is very well made, properly machined and all parts fit perfectly. I'm breaking it in on propane, presently running and occaissionally placing a load on it to seat the rings. The generator started immediately, very impressed. Has a great selection of output plugs from 120 V. to the 240 V.- 30 and 50 amp for household connection. Will be connecting to the house current with a Generlink automatic switch, for safety and convenience. I especially appreciate the start features, hand crank, automatic start button, and the key fob, which has great range for starting and stopping. The fact that it is dual fuel (gas and propane) is also a real bonus. All in all, a great product. I'm now looking forward to another power outage!

This generator is the Cadillac of all generators!!! The best of the best highly recommended. It’s fast simple and easy to use. Westinghouse has a great support team and will take care of you! I bought this generator to power my house during monsoon season as power goes out in the crazy heat waves here in Arizona. So far I have ran my 2.5 ton central A/c fridge, chest freezer and garage door opener. Everything else in my house minus the hot water heater stove washer and dryer but who needs those in a heat wave!! If I needed to I could shut everything else down and run those independent. I had people driving up and down my street wondering why my house was lit up while the whole town was out pitch black. My wife says to me I have never seen this many people driving up and down our street. I said they wanna see why our house was lit up and theirs wasn’t. The only thing I can say is do your reasearch and put the right Plug on your house as I did mine twice. I started with the 30 amp and found out that I couldn’t get the full potential of the generator at 12,500 so I had the electrician come back and put the 50 amp on. So I was able to run whole house. 30 amp is limited to 9500 so don’t make the mistake I did.

I just received this generator and was pleased with all items supplied by the manufacturer. Good owners manual and clear instructions on everything but the oil level check. going to call customer service before operating just to be safe. Manual says not to screw in the fill cap to check oil level but the online manual says to screw in to get oil level. I put in the supplied oil and found it was not enough even with screwing in the oil cap. I'm sure this is something customer service can clear up quickly

This generator replaced a smaller generator I had for 8 years but suffered catastrophic engine failure. This machine is heavily constructed with a welded all tubular frame, 457 cc duel fuel engine, and 12500 peak watts. The machine came with standard 3/8 propane hookup which I attached my quick connect hose within minutes. A total of 45 minutes to unbox, add oil( comes with 4cycle oil), attach wheels, and hook up battery and propane hose. Once I attached to propane tank I pressed the start button on control panel and on 3rd crank the unit started humming. It is a beautiful machine, solid construction, and generous paperwork for instructions and replacement parts. Nothing was missing from the box nothing damaged. I can't wait for the next power failure.

After losing power too many times from storms decided to get a generator. After doing some research, this generator had more features for less money compared to other brands. Had an electrician hook this up with a transfer switch and propane and no more issues. Powerful enough for our little cabin in the north woods to run A/C, refrigerator and everything else with no problems. Some of the best money I have ever spent.
